G'day members. I've just joined this site as a member and am looking forward to posting some of the stories that I am constantly in the process of writing, although very slowly at times. I have been a member of Survival Boards for some time and have posted my stories there, however for any of you who have visited that site and read them, the yarns I post here have been revised/updated.

Thanks for bringing me here Millwright.
For those who haven't read any of my stories on the SB site:
Whilst each can be read as a stand-alone, the various characters, locations and time-frames link them together so that they're more like chapters of a single book. (Hopefully I will be around long enough for it to become a very large book, lol.)
The overall collection comes under the title of A CHANGE OF PACE, which is the lead story and the one I will post first.
If you find any errors, (apart from what you might think of as spelling mistakes because I write in Australian English,) or have any questions, particularly about things Australian, please let me know.
N.B: These stories are not about surviving any form of apocalyptic event, but I hope you enjoy them anyway.

Help!!!! I was happily typing away and don't know what key I hit, but my page seems to have shrunk in size. What did I do wrong?

Edited to add: Don't know how, but I seem to have undone whatever it was i did wrong, so all is OK.

So awesome to see you here old friend!
Will you continue the branch off story about the teen who escaped a horrid home leaving on a bicycle and snazzy trailer?
I know folks will love your Aussie ingenuity and practically in your stories.

Hi Sis,
Hope all is well with you and yours.
So glad you're on this site.
I will be adding to The Runaway as I will be with my other stories.
It may take a bit of time though as being "old" I'm not as fast as I once was.
Cheers,
Bid

Anyhow, welcome and looking forward to your tales!

Everything sounds so familiar (I grew up in OZ) and the places mentioned and all the words people in N. America have to look up to understand. Almost makes me homesick...... and makes me want to recite Dorothea MacKellar's "I love a Sunburned Country" or sing "Advance Australia Fair"..... you have succeeded in characterizing the people and description of places.
