DD's Photographs From Her Foreign Study Trip to Ecuador

DD is a freshman at the University of Wisconsin and just got back from her 17 day foreign studies trip to Ecuador and brought back a -ton- of great photos. She was in the Amazon Rain Forest and the Galapagos Islands. She had a great trip despite much concern about the volcano that had already erupted before she left.

I used to dabble in photography a bit and I am -very- proud to see that DD has her father's eye. She has a Nikon D60 digital SLR with some interchangeable lenses.

Here is a small sample of her work. I'll move this thread to Artistic License in a day or so.

Enjoy!

Beautiful Pics. Did anyone else notice how clean the streets and things are. Not even grass and leaves.

Thank you for sharing DD's experience. Pictures are beautiful! I think I would feel just fine living in the Hut that is pictured. All seems so clean and cozy.

One of my DD's is scheduled for a trip like this with Her College Mates to Spain next summer.

I sure hope all the turmoil is settled in Spain before She leaves.
Blessing's,
MCA

Congratulations on a safe and beautiful trip.

Nice, just real nice. I was in Chile in 95. Loved it. The views, the people, everything!

BTW, here is a picture of DD I took with her D60 for her high school yearbook picture.

Needless to say, we are very proud parents and yes I carry a .45 auto and a very large stick when the boys are around. DW has a .357 snub ready to go to if one of DD's BFs get out of line. The boys know it, and respect that.

She is a looker, gets it from her parents I suppose. ;)

Your DD is a skilled photographer. Both in understanding how to do a B&W shot, framing, and good use of color. Not many people her age have gotten to go to the Galapagos! And a lovely young lady to boot. What a beautiful country. I'm sure she had the time of her life!

Thanks again for the kind words folks!

We had DD rather late in life after it appeared we may not be able to have children.

She is a true blessing and we cherish her company every day.
