OK I'm curious- I just hit the new posts link, and this thread came up in the first page. Its now 5/6/11 at approx 0525 central when I hit the new posts link, BUT the last post in this thread is #44 dated 5/4/11 @ 0615 PM. Theres no way this should have shown up in the new posts thread by whats obvious being shown. Unless a vote in the poll is kicking it up, even though theres no new posts added?

I totally agree government is not known for its efficiency or even its ability to "work and play well with others", either as an entity or the individuals/factions with any government. Personally I agree that assuming automatically any statement is true or false tends to blind one to all possibilities. For myself I remain interested, mentally collecting evidence, and processing it as I can. But open to changing my position as new info becomes apparent...

I think its just as dangerous to automatically assume things are lies as it is to automatically assume things are true. Either way leaves one open to manipulation. Just by different groups. And over the last 10 years, I have come to believe that some in the alternative news community lead people for personal gain and power, just as the guys in suits do.

Instead we are seeing what might be described as the rise of a anti-establishment cult that preens itself on internet based statements that they don't believe anything the government says, followed by back slapping from adherents and concerted attack on others that are trying to process info and find facts, whether it agrees with said government itself or not. They get maligned and accused of being .gov facts. Some may deserve it, but many don't. Shame is it actually discourages free exchange of info and viewpoints, which could potentially benefit all of us.

Critical thinking and the ability to process information without becoming wedded to one particular paradigm is becoming less common. So is the ability to not "own" viewpoints to the extent that when real facts and proof are presented, one can reprocess it and possibly change their minds. To be mentally flexible and open to reality, no matter what it is-even if it contradicts our personal paradigms- seems pretty rare these days.

Maybe its partially due to those folks having given up posting due to the responses the have had over time. I sure hope there's more folks aware and using discernment out there than it seems when following threads like this.

We agree on a whole lot, WO. I just haven't come to a definitive conclusion yet. But I sure am glad we have those alternative sources. Without them I wouldn't even know to question. 12 yrs of TB2k has definitely taught me something, at least to know to question. That didn't come naturally to me. Its been an eye opener, and I am glad for it.

No, she would like for you go listen to Dr. Pieczenik, who was a consultant to four presidential administrations and reports that OBL had Marfan Syndrome and died as a result back in 2001. OBL was used by the US administration to implement the police state under which we now live - where they track all our travel and communications and money transactions.

So many of you are terrified that you might find that your mindset is in error that you just demonize anyone who has a different opinion than your own. My God, they might even have evidence to back to up!!!! But you can just continue to dismiss that and live in your own paradigm.

I must admit, years ago I looked at photos of OBL and thought to myself "He looks like the poster child for Marfan's Syndrome". I've known a few who were afflicted with it, one being my cousin. Kidney disease and osteoporosis are two major side effects to Marfan's that OBL obviously has/had. Since 9/11, I have read many accounts of the kidney disease and dialysis that OBL underwent but the recent press accounts of Marfan's is the first mention that I know of pertaining To OBL.

I DO believe that people are much too fixated on the government/media manipulation of the story and not curious enough about the opportunities that the reported event presents. BHO [believe it or not] will be emboldened by this event which he likely had little to do with. He has already benefitted from a 12 point bounce on Rasmussen's Poll, despite what Rasmussen says. After making lemons out of lemonade [his failures or the misfortunes of others] for over two years, BHO is finally learning from his CLINTON advisors how to rub the belly of the beast [MSM], how to smile for the camera instead of scowling [for the people] and how to take credit for the courage and persistence of others and emerge in a stronger position because of a plan it's obvious he had little desire to allow, let alone execute [think Clinton and Welfare Reform, middle class tax cuts et al]. The WH is in the midst of internal struggle between the Clintonistas and the Chicago mob. Former Chicago Mayor Daley is producing impressive results [with help from HRC, Gates, Panetta Slick Willie etc.] which are showing BHO in a better light with Independents and women voters. If this continues and the Clinton people prevail, BHO's path to a second term seems eminently more doable. Unknown future events and personalities may put that result in question but the events and strategy changes in WH circles have made BHO a more credible figure in the eyes of the sheeple.

Laura, I am so happy to hear you are getting your news from other sources than just the MSM. If we only had them to rely on, we would never know the truth from the false stuff. They were bought off years ago.
