DH wanted chicken and dumplings so I fixed them last night. My dumplings were one soggy mess. They were nice and fluffy going in, I put the lid on and didn't remove for 15 minutes. What a lumpy mess. Help what went wrong? My creme brule' also didn't set up but that's another thread and my wheat rolls didn't rise. It was a crummy Valentines dinner. It all tasted good but didn't look particularly appetizing.
