Came across this employment opportunity while doing a job search.
CDC is looking for applicants for 'Quarantine Stations' for the Ebola Initiative.
The new Ebola Czar is doing a good job controlling information on Ebola patients in the U.S. and in Africa. Pretty good news black out.
But...this posting is very telling.

This announcement will be used to fill positions in support of the Ebola hiring initiative. This announcement will be open for 90 days with option to extend up to eleven (11) months in 90 day increments.
This announcement will be used to fill positions in various geographical locations.
Incumbent may be requested to deploy to West Africa, which will require securing a USG passport, passing medical clearances, and taking required health & safety trainings.
If assigned to a Quarantine Station:
•Subject to permanent reassignment to another CDC Quarantine Station or duty station as the needs of the service warrant.
•Subject to temporary assignment at any location In the United States and its territories or possessions, in foreign countries, or at sea. Selectee will be required to sign on a Geographic Mobility Agreement.
•Subject to shift work, weekend work and evening hours. On call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, independent of shift work assignments.
•Will be required to wear a uniform.
•Must be able to qualify for unrestricted access to secure areas at U.S ports.
•Must be able to qualify for a secret security clearance.
•Must be able to obtain an official U.S. passport.
•Must have a valid State government-issued driver's license.
•The Incumbent is required to be current in his/her immunizations per ACIP guidelines. Must undergo baseline and periodic health screening procedures such as respiratory fit testing and PPD tests for tuberculosis exposure. May be required to wear an N-95 respirator.
•Must be physically fit enough to work long hours and frequently travel on foot to remote gate area in a short period of time.
•May be required to provide basic quarantine station support, including purchasing, property inventory, document processing, timekeeping, and answering inquiries, etc.

I read this to my brother - his first thoughts were: 'Death Camp Guard' job posting - required uniforms, frequent traveling on foot to gated area, camp support - ordering supplies, personal property inventory, document processing, timekeeping, answering inquiries. Not funny, but I know what he means.
People will come up with all kinds of thoughts/ideas if not kept in the loop...as we are not. Hopefully, this won't get as bad as we think it will. Sigh.
