a.k.a. Mexican Spaghetti. This is not exact as I have been making this since a teen.

1 lb sliced beef (round steak works )
1 onion
1 bell pepper
1/2 clove garlic
1 can whole peeled tomatoes
2tbs olive oil
4-6 servings of fideo vemicelli (i.e. twisted...you can use angel hair as well)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1-3 tsp ground cumin (to taste)

Cook the vermicelli and set aside
Saute' meat in oil, keeping covered to retain juices.
Add onion, bell pepper and garlic and continue to saute until done.
Add whole peeled tomatoes, breaking them up.
Add salt / pepper and cumin to taste.
Begin to to add in vermicelli until you have a good mix.
cover and simmer for 10 minutes.

This is not "saucy." The vermicelli will be infused with the flavor and color of your sauce and it will be somewhat dry. This is a staple dish around my house.
Enjoy.

**edited to add***

I writing this, it made me hungry and I am making this for dinner.
Upon slicing the beef, I season the meat with garlic powder and cumin and let the meat sit in the fridge for an hour prior to cooking.
