So far, all Iran has done is make a lot of noise. Even Israel is beginning to think it's all a bluff according to an article I read this morning on Breitbart.

I regret to inform the mullahs, that their "friends" - the Russians and Chinese - will likely take issue with closing the strait.

Really? Ask all the dead Ukrainians if war was helpful concerning their well being. The irrationality of much of mankind is written time and time again in our historical records. Never underestimate a sworn enemy.
War in ukraine WAS in the best interest of the US. It makes money. Closing the Straits loses money.

Dead Ukrainians or Israelis dont matter at all. Or Iranians.

China Already has with the Houthis. China I think is very close to sending troops in to quell the idiocy. And honestly if they took care of the Houthis in Yement with extreme prejudice I do not think anyone would say anything bad. In all honesty their troops really do need the combat experience especially if they are going to be doing anything to Taiwan...

Another figure .
The Strait of Hormuz (SoH) is a 21-mile-wide channel that separates Iran from the Arabian Peninsula and is used to transport around 20 million barrels of oil per day(mb/d). This accounts for roughly 20–30% of the world's oil trade, and is considered the world's most important oil artery. The SoH is also home to 70% of the world's oil destined for Asia, with Japan, India, South Korea, and China being the largest destinations.

Strait of Hormuz - About the Strait - The Strauss Center
Oil tankers carry approximately 17 million barrels of oil each day through the Strait, or 20 to 30 percent of the world's total consumption. Other outlets for oil exports from the region, such as pipelines, are limited. As such, approximately 88 percent of all oil leaving the Persian Gulf goes via the Strait of Hormuz.

Strait of Hormuz - Wikipedia
Oil trade flow ... According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, in 2011, an average of 14 tankers per day passed out of the Persian Gulf through the Strait carrying 17 million barrels (2,700,000 m3) of crude oil. This was said to represent 35% of the world's seaborne oil shipments and 20% of oil traded worldwide. The report stated that more than 85% of these crude oil exports went to Asian markets, with Japan, India, South Korea and China the largest destinations. In 2018 alone, 21 million barrels a day were passing through the strait - this means $1.17 billion worth of oil a day, at September 2019 prices.

Significance. The Strait of Hormuz is a narrow 21 mile wide channel separating Iran from the Arabia Peninsula. It is used to transport a fifth of the world's petroleum liquids which is around 21 million barrels or $1.2 billion worth of oil every day.
The SoH is a critical energy chokepoint that must compulsorily pass through for all Iraqi, Kuwaiti, Qatari, and most UAE oil and natural gas. The strait can be blocked by sunken ships, and tensions between the U.S. and Iranian navies have impacted commercial shipping.
