Has anyone kept the old home made Bisquick Mix recipe??

My best friend went on dialysis and can't have phosphorus of any kind. Phosphorus is added to all mixes now to help preserve them.
She can use her own fresh ingredients.
I use to have this recipe and used it for pancakes, biscuits and etc. Guess I have moved too many times or just blind, anyway I can't find my old recipe.
Would appreciate any help.
Thanks

Hi, Dosh!

I think this is the one you're looking for. I also posted a healthier version on one of the pancake threads not too long ago, if you want to search for that. :) Also remind your friend to check the baking powder ingredients, because some kinds do contain phosphorus.

Biscuit and Baking Mix
Makes 11-12 cups

8 3/4 C. flour
1/3 C. baking powder
1/4 C. sugar
1 Tbsp. salt
2 C. shortening

Mix until mixture looks like coarse meal. Store in a covered container up to 3 months.

Biscuits:
2 C. mix
1/2 C. milk

Stir, knead to remove stickiness, roll out and cut biscuits. Cook on ungreased cookie sheet at 450 degrees for 10-15 minutes.

Pancakes:
2 C. mix
1 1/3 C. milk
1 egg

Mix milk and egg, add baking mix and beat until smooth. Makes about 10 4" pancakes.

Muffins:
3 C. mix
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 egg
1 C. milk

Mix milk and egg, add baking mix and sugar. Cook at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
