tho google and other search engines yield sometimes useful information when searching for medical information, can anyone recommed a search engine which deals just with medical or health related issues.

I really like this site. It is a database of different medical search engines.

http://www.mednets.com/smedlink.htm

When you go there, it has tons of different search engines to pick from, in different categories. I can choose a search engine for a specific disease or general medicine, therapy, medical jobs, etc..

I use Medline or PubMed. Do a regular search for either of these then click on the links. I just did a search on scleroderma for a friend today and got 573 pages, about 11,000 articles, on PubMed.

stillprepping,

Here are a few of my favorites:

Virtual Hospital

This next one allows you to type in keywords of the symptoms and it pulls up all the genetic problems that could cause them. Geneticists use a form of this search engine when trying to diagnose patients. It requires a good command of medical terminology, but if you are looking for any genetic syndromes, this is an awesome search engine:

The next site can be used as a medical dictionary.

Let me know if you want any pediatric search engines, because I have several that are specific to kids.

Hope these help.
