Just got back from the local Hyundai dealer. My Accent only has 15,000 miles on it and something went wrong with the brakes the other day. So I thought I'd go in and take advantage of my 100,000 mile warranty. Total bill for brakes and an oil change was $260! I'll be writing Rick Case a letter about it.
I was talking to someone else who was waiting for his car. He informed me that the 30,000 mile maintenance package will cost me $500! His car has 4 differant oxygen sensors on it. Only one had to be replaced. That cost him $130. But he's got three others that could fail at any time.
This 100,000 mile warranty (on a piece of junk) is not worth it. It's better to buy quality with a 36,000 mile warranty.
I was there a couple of hours. They only had one customer in that time period. As I was driving out I noticed he was going to test drive a Santa Fe. I yelled out the window: 'Buy a Honda. I'm tellin ya.'
