Schools would be virtual just as during covid along with all sporting events.

Concerts, theater & even church would be strictly regulated & if available more than likely video ONLY.

The powers that be would probably move non-essential families from the colder northern regions to more temperate zones.

The unemployed would be required to work either in agriculture or operating nonmotorized equipment maintaining public properties.

Walking would be mandatory for all trips less then 5 miles. ie going to work or school & even shopping.

Thermostats would be tamper proof & preset. Water heaters would be restricted in size & operation, used only when needed & the amount of water controlled.

All facets of life would be controlled by limitations or curfews.

There would be no debate about gas, diesel or electric vehicles. Private vehicles carrying one or two passengers would be a felony or worse as vigilantes would take matters into their own hands.

As far fetched as your examples may seem to be, give it time and maybe some of it will come to pass. Just looking back 5 or 10 years, if anyone told me some of what we deal with today was going to be the new norm, I'd of thought they were just trying to scare people with gross exaggeration. Now here we are where insisting 2+2 always equals 4 is racist, where it is mandated in most schools and other public settings that trans women are real women with full access to locker rooms and participation on girl's & women's sports teams, where the majority of college students support HAMAS over Israel, where respectable medical publications such as Medpage can with a straight face so to speak publish an article (I just read it a few days ago) touting Biden as a "super ager" based on his physical and mental capabilities being that of a man much younger than his chronological age, where demands for reparations have the support of Governors & big city Mayors & increasingly members of Congress, where DEI discrimination would replace merit in college admissions & staff hiring/promotion, in government hiring/promotion, and even in major corporation hiring/promotion, and on and on. Those of us who would have said common sense will prevail and that the general public wouldn't stand for it would have been proven wrong in a big way.

There is much evidence as to the cycles of the earth's climate, however students in the last few decades were not taught such things as many of us were back in the day. Therefore through ignorance of facts, they are easily persuaded through neuro-linguistic programming and alarmist curriculum in our education system, media, government, etc., etc. to believe the indoctrination that they are bombarded with from every direction. People are challenged from every angle to believe the lies or be called names. The most educated of the young folks are usually the worst at berating the "uneducated" about these things. They are unwilling to suppose that the knowledge they were taught may be faulty, opinion vs fact. They will not consider that when water levels go down and an ancient city is found, that perhaps it may be an evidence of a "cycle" in the history of the world.

If not for oil, this plus the extinction of wales (for use in lamp oil) would have likely happened. Oil is the best thing to ever be used by humans.
