In 1998 they called it summer - now they paint everything red and call it extreme weather...

Not sure where this is considered hot. 25C = 77F

To go from C to F, divide by 5, then multiply by 9, and add 32.

Sort of like the cold-water-warnings when it's a hot day in the Spring.

It's sunny and 80F, weather didn't mention anything of storms, but up comes a red warning, and of course you need to click on it to see what it is.
'Be aware that even though it is extremely warm outside, lakes, rivers, and streams are still very cold and can be dangerous for risk of hypothermia.'
Stupid thing is we swam in that 50-55F water as children and especially as teenagers when we were out doing teenager stuff. But not stuff they attribute to 'groups of teens' nowadays.
Well, we turned out OK. Everyone lived through very cold lake water on hot Spring days.

Our summer temps have always hit triple digits. My old calendars show days we hauled hay when the temp was was 103 and higher. We would haul 2 loads then hit the a/c for 30 min. DH had heat stroke years ago from working on hay baler for hours in middle of hot hay field. We have also had a foot of snow on May 29.

The comedian Bill Engvall has an old piece he does on summer in Texas and weather in general. Short, kinda funny if you've lived it.
