Looking at a '98 Buick Regal

with 59K miles on it for in the vicinity of $9K (or perhaps 8).

the original purchase was, shall we say "LOADED"???


got about every piece of tinsel crap Buick hung on any of their cars that year....but it looks damn near new... spare never been out of the trunk, NO water damage......20K of those miles (at least) were trips to either Memphis or Louisville from Cleveland....


It has the 3800 engine and the "W" body (so I don't have to use the E-brake to adjust the real calipers IIRC)....looks like it was maintained RIGHT by the owner.

It was WELL detailed but we got burned once that way and now we know where to look.....back seat was apparently never sat in....NO water damage ANYWHERE that we could find....



Going to trade in the Crown Vic (damn thing is a money pit all of a sudden)...

Anyone with any thoughts???

3.8 motor has been around in one form or another for well on 25 years...solid and reliable...95-98's had major computer problems...so get the vin and talk to buick about that car's records...other than that...it's a late 90's gm...relatively solid
