CORONA Main Coronavirus thread

IIRC, the Buffalo report wasn't a thread--it was a post on this thread, a few pages back. Somebody found a reasonable source that said the report was not true, and the poster said oops, never mind, sorry. It happens.
I could be wrong... but I believe the "sorry, it was wrong" was about 5 reported cases in North Carolina, not Buffalo. Unfortunately, that report has yet to be debunked...

MoH Data Collector On Diamond Princess COVID Positive DETAIL Staff reported fever on the 14th, and infection was confirmed on the 16th.

Poor Japan, one cruise ship and they now have about 400 plus confirmed cases to care for. The cost has included cases suffered by health care and support personnel. And - there's no end in sight.

Cruise ships are bad news, it'd be wise to put in a book mark, sooner than later.

COVID19 Updates in SE Asia Retweeted Agus Wibowo

spokesperson for the Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB) promoted the idea that #COVID19 has “protein spikes that can only infect certain ethnic groups” #coronavirus #SARSCoV2 #CoronaOutbreak

"In this study, we analyzed four large-scale datasets of normal lung tissue to investigate the disparities related to race, age, gender and smoking status in ACE2 gene expression. No significant disparities in ACE2 gene expression were found between racial groups (Asian vs Caucasian), age groups (>60 vs <60) or gender groups (male vs female). However, we observed significantly higher ACE2 gene expression in smoker samples compared to non-smoker samples. This indicates the smokers may be more susceptible to 2019-nCov and thus smoking history should be considered in identifying susceptible population and standardizing treatment regimen. "

My advice Do not buy any food or drink from China
MY advice Do not buy ANYTHING from China for a while!
(after seeing that pile of must be close to a thousand dead patient's CELL PHONES piled in a corner of a Chinese crematorium, which have probably a week or two ago, started being listed for sale CHEAP on ebay, or some Chinese version of ebay!!

Now running for Emperor.
Absolutely medieval over there, god I hope it doesn't end up that way here.
If it gets that bad over here, the population centers will be MUCH worse, because unlike China, even the Libtard cities are armed to the teeth. Think The Road Warrior plus Dawn of the Dead (2004), with a little bit of Book of Eli thrown in to keep your spirits up. Then stir, and garnish with some NOLA post Hurricane Katrina.

Coronavirus Outbreak in China 10 Times Worse Than Reported?

On Feb. 12, Hubei health authorities announced an additional 14,840 cases of the coronavirus. It marks the largest single-day rise since the epidemic began and is almost 10 times the number of added cases from the day before.

Health authorities said the spike was due to the inclusion of “clinically diagnosed cases” in Hubei. Others suspect the true reason is because of a recent change in top leadership in Hubei province and Wuhan city, as these two Xi Jinping appointees seek to avoid taking responsibility for their predecessors’ incompetence and concealment of the epidemic.

To decode these events, Zooming In did a thorough case study of one of China’s most popular media outlet’s coverage of the coronavirus epidemic. We also did a preliminary calculation of the infected population and death toll in Wuhan based on an exclusive investigation by the Epoch Media Group into one of Wuhan’s funeral homes.

From there, we will explore the truth of the epidemic, how Chinese leadership view it, their plan going forward and most importantly, what it means for you if the epidemic in China is 10 times worse than reported. - Subscribe for updates: http://bit.ly/SimoneGao

Lot of short selling on the market is there? One would think so if TPTB figgered fiscal Armageddon was due on Tuesday or whenever. .

Apparently, bad enough that having the President tell us the truth would be worse.
been gone all weekend, gun show, did peretty good, but no one was saying anything, had a box of 2 N95 masks on the table, several looked and pointed, some just stared for a moment, but no one asked, but from the looks, guns and amm were really moving, sold one person 2,000 45 acp. and another guy 700 30-06. cleaned me out of that,

I have a friend who came and sat with me awhile at the show, he is in management at a local large airport, said last week a private plane landed. all perfectly legal, but, said the feds met it. and a ambulance took away 3 chineese men, all the workers in that area are really pissed because no one will tell them anything,
hmmm. So who ya gonna vote for other than Trump?
If I vote here in The Marxist dictatorship of Oregon it would only be for local issues, nor am I optimistic the current system will be functional, especially in a cesspool like Oregon
Any vote I cast for Trump would be useless at this point. Besides, I am now in a 2nd Civil war ramp up phase with a side of chinese commie bastard killer virus added to the mix. :shkr:

I wonder if we now know why the Chinese built those ghost cities. If there are corpses in those buildings, then they will be contaminated for a long time. It would be easier to move the survivors to a new city than to decontaminate all those apartments. What did the government know? What did they do to their people?

I haven't listened to their press call in the last few days, but I think I read they are going into a hybrid containment/management phase now, so you're right about it no longer being only about containment anymore. For the first month it was all about containment. They were about 2 weeks behind this thread when we first were posting here (publicly at least) but once they caught up to us they were on top of it and continue to be on top of it.

As for whether they (specifically the CDC) intentionally let or are letting the disease into the country? I understand there is that woo position floating around but I don't buy it. If you want to argue the evil one-wolrd globalists had a hand in the outbreak I'm more open to listening. But I do not believe the CDC is purposefully trying to spread this disease. I won't assign nefarious motives to what may just be incompetence and normalcy bias run amok. And I agree with you there seems to be a lot of incompetence in some of their earlier decisions (letting everyone off the boat in NJ immediately comes to mind). They're a bureaucracy, a gov't bureaucracy at that, which is even worse, and they all have their reputations to protect so no one wants to rock the boat. You're not going to get ahead of the curve, revolutionary action out of them. :shk:

Hmm, I know the numbers are staggering. But one funeral home? Hmm...

Well, you ever see any pictures from Auschwitz or Birkenwold . The crematoria there were running 1,000 plus a day. Eyeglasses, shoes, etc., by the boxcar.

First thing that came to my mind when I saw that pile of phones.

Three, four, five or more ovens running 24 x 7 for one mortuary.
It's reasonable.

Ghastly, yes.

Can you tell us what city and/ or state this was? I know we had a big gun show here in Las Vegas at the convention center this week-end. Would have loved to have gone :(

Here's the latest on coronavirus: -China death toll at 1,770, cases top 70,000 -Singapore downgrades growth forecast -Voter support for Japan’s PM Abe falls on doubts over virus handling -China stocks rebound from sell-off that erased $720 billion

Two things of observation and speculation on my part:

1) The news is beginning to trickle out that death rates are falling. How does anyone know for sure? Worried that might give people a false sense of security.
I think the statistics they are using do not compare apples to apples. If you now throw an additional 20k "clinically diagnosed" cases into the mix of course the% of ppl dying goes down. Who do they think they're fooling?
