Caught up.

I noticed this way back up thread and copied it during my morning catch up:

#17950:

While the number of patients worldwide is increasing, some virus clusters have shown no obvious link to China, leaving experts struggling to determine where they started.

That above in bold is disturbing. What can be the carrier?

Puzzling...

I don't know where in all the stuff I read today that I saw that, due to its "low cases" of the virus, the US would likely get hit harder with the second wave in the fall. (They are still touting that subsidence in summer tale.) Also, the economic effects upon China would last for about a generation. So either we get off our arses and find some supply chain workarounds, or we will feel those effects for a long time

I know that one man on Steve Bannon's show who was of Indian ethnicity said that now is the time for the US to snuggle up and partner with India on shifting emphasis from China to India for things like agricultural chemicals.

I believe India envisions a new emerging tight trade partnership with the British Commonwealth, India and the US.

That might be a work around, but I think we need to reassess essential supplies and make sure that they are made or grown locally in the future. The US has been exporting its pollution problems to the emerging world for too long. It needs to face the fact that some of this is dirty business and invest in technologies that will clean it up and bring it home in a cost effective manner. If that means subsidies, grants, technology hand-offs, reduced regulation or whatever to boost or retool industries, so be it. To hell with whatever treaty provision we are hamstrung with to the contrary.

America first!
India's fervent desire to supplant China as the U.S.'s number-one trade partner causes me to mistrust their COVID-19 case reports. Only three (per WHO)? In a country so rich in disposable people? Not buying it.

Another vote for bringing it home. ALL of it.

Corona Virus...economic threat.
Global supply chain impacted. 570 billion dollar impact.

WHO says Rome should have stopped people coming in from China. They made a huge mistake.
11 towns in Italy quarantined...58K people
Road blocks around them....Armed with people with machine guns. Violators 3 months in prison.

350 thousands shipping containers taken out of global supply chain. Over 200K should be going to US. 48K refrigerated containers stopped

Inside China...48% of small biz will run out of cash in the next 3 weeks to 3 months..they employ 80% of Chinese people.

there you go . . . typical communist behavior . . . WHO blames Italy for not stopping people coming from China.
But WHO Chief Tedros says for the moment we are not witnessing the uncontained global spread.
WHO has just outlived their usefulness

If that is not the markings of a virus capable of creating a global pandemic, what is?

Rush is covering this.

He is going pretty far woo...or true?

Discussing the possibility of the virus came from wuhan lab and was intentionally released as an economic weapon.

To crash the markets.
It appears that it will do exactly that. And, of course, we will all have to be saved from TEOTWAWKI, so the World Bank will come to the rescue with a new currency with shared responsibility for saving the planet from Global Warming . . . and coronavirus . . . and healthcare and capitalism . . . because in Communism, everybody works.

I am at Costco and I can say that the herd is starting to wake up....

Took me almost 15 minutes to find a parking place on a Monday afternoon usually I could park right at the front. Half the parking places should be half empty and instead there is not a parking place in the entire lot front to back

There are now 53 confirmed cases of novel coronavirus in the United States, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Monday.
These include 36 people who were aboard the Diamond Princess cruise ship, three people repatriated from China and 14 US cases.
This reflects an increase in 18 cases from Friday, all among Diamond Princess passengers. At the time, CDC officials said that there were additional passengers who had tested positive for the virus in Japan and would likely be added to the official US count once those test results had been adjudicated.
The 14 US cases include eight in California, one in Massachusetts, one in Washington state, one in Arizona, two in Illinois and one in Wisconsin. Among these cases, there are two instances of person-to-person transmission, one in Illinois and one in California.

Went shopping yesterday and noticed both Target and Walmart had the elderberry items but Walmart had their items out more in front display as well as other immunity products and this is in Nebraska so they must be gearing up for people to be getting ready to purchase these items!

Trying to talk myself out of a shopping trip on Tuesday to the closest small city (10,000 population). It's a 150 mile round trip.
