I'm probably not the only person who uses electrical tape to cover the front camera on all my devices. I got tired of targeted beer ads, when I never searched for same. And other ads too, some based upon age. Rear cameras blocked by protective cases.
Haven't had such ads for years now.

Well, if the health insurance companies can penalize smokers, why not do the same to people who eat junk food all the time. Health problems one way or another. FYI - I like my junk food like anyone else and a former smoker as well.

Just imagine all the spying lenses and sensors we have no clue are right under our noses and in our faces. And, I love how all this facial recognition is making the world so much safer.

I use those stickers on the rear facing camera on my phones, and on the laptop cams that don't have a built in cover (most of my Lenovo's do have the slide covers built in). The front facing camera on my phone get a far more permanent fix: I use a diamond scribe dremel bit to grind out the whole area in front of the camera. It makes it impossible for a good picture out of the front cam, and at the same time, makes a very unique pattern for facial matching for all of the 2FA systems that I have to deal with.

I just have to re-enlist all of the 2FAs when I upgrade the phones...
