INTL Neda's Call - Free Iran!!!

I just put together this short video in memory of Neda Agha Soltan, the young female bystander who was shot dead yesterday in the streets of Tehran by a Basij militia sniper. Most appropriately, her name "Neda" in Farsi means "voice" or "call". Let Neda's martyrdom be a call to the Iranian people to rise up and stand for freedom from tyranny! The video is set to the Peter Gabriel song, "Biko", which was written in memory of Stephen Biko, a martyr of the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa.

Some of those comments are kinda violent. Non-violence is the Iranians best bet unless the U.S. is going to provide covert military support....the odds of which are approximately nil.

Nicely done, Spirit. Short yet extremely powerful. May God continue to give courage and strength to the Iranians who are trying to free their country from its oppressive and brutal rule.

Very deep SOT. You made it very real and personal. This is much needed in this time which reduces the individual to shallow sound bites. Strong prayers for her family.

That was very touching and the music was perfect for your video. I saw the clip on the news today and could not believe how horrifying and graphic it was. She was such a beautiful woman, and from what I've read, an equally beautiful person inside. My prayers are with her family and with the Iranian people.

"Biko"

September '77
Port Elizabeth weather fine
It was business as usual
In police room 619
Oh Biko, Biko, because Biko
Oh Biko, Biko, because Biko
Yihla Moja, Yihla Moja
-The man is dead

When I try to sleep at night
I can only dream in red
The outside world is black and white
With only one colour dead
Oh Biko, Biko, because Biko
Oh Biko, Biko, because Biko
Yihla Moja, Yihla Moja
-The man is dead

You can blow out a candle
But you can't blow out a fire
Once the flames begin to catch
The wind will blow it higher
Oh Biko, Biko, because Biko
Yihla Moja, Yihla Moja
-The man is dead

And the eyes of the world are
watching now
watching now
