Need Recipes for Church Sunday

It is my turn to take food to church Sunday for our Sunday School Class. I am to take a gallon of orange juice, fruit and rolls. The rolls can be anything like coffeecake, plain rolls or donuts, etc. I would like to take something a little more nourishing than plain rolls; maybe sausage stuffed crescent rolls or even a casserole. Please post any recipes you may have.

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but we eat these for breakfast and it sounds like it would go well with your orange juice and fruit. :) I've made it with whole wheat flour and it worked all right.

Breakfast Bars

2/3 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 1/2 cups quick or old-fashioned oats, uncooked
1 cup (4oz) shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 lb bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled
1/4 cup wheat germ (opt.)

Preheat oven to 350. Beat together butter, sugar, egg and
vanilla. Add combined flour, soda and salt to butter mixture; mix
well. Stir in oats, cheese, bacon, wheat germ. Spread in 9x13
pan. Bake 20 min or until lightly browned.

A simple casserole that's best when refrigerated overnight, is to grease a casserole dish and put 5 or 6 slices of cubed bread on the bottom. On top of the bread, put a lb. of browned sausage, drained of grease. On top of the sausage, sprinkle about a cup of cheddar cheese. In a mixing bowl, beat 5 or 6 eggs, then add a couple cups of milk or cream. Pour this over the bread, sausage, and cheese. Refrigerate overnight, then bake at 325 for 50 min. to an hr. Cheese placed on top makes it look better.

You can also add salt, pepper, mushrooms, onions, etc. It's nice to have something in the morning that is ready except for baking. It should stand 10 to 15 min. before being eaten. Good plain or with syrup over the top.
