Nice! Cute markings.

I have 3 hens that insist on hatching some out... and after a couple weeks, they abandon the eggs.... mostly because I have too many hens and they all want to lay in the hatchers' nests. Cuckooo style.

So I fired up the incubator and started a clean batch and will shuffle some in if they are abandoned.

They are precious!

I just put six Buff Orps in their big girl pen and I've got seven Cream Legbars left to finish growing out.

I was going to order the hatching eggs but, after searching locally for over a year, I walked in TS and found my Buffs one night and about two weeks later they had the Cream Legbars. Granted, they aren't as nice as what I would have found by buying heritage breed eggs from a reputable breeder, there just weren't any to be had withing a 60 mile radius and the ebay egg selections weren't that great at the time.

I want to hatch and sell chicks from some of my favorite breeds. The Buffs are turning out to be a great decision. They are great looking girls and the sweetest we've ever had. On the other hand these Cream Legbars are a touch crazy...I've never had anything like them and I've raised that breed before.
