Dang. Tough crowd. :xpnd:

You know, we could have been remembering him for his football skills and even some of his acting roles, but what happened 30 years ago ruined all that.

I still remember being in the car with my mom when the acquittal came over the radio. We were all shocked. We were certain he was guilty as all get out.

I'll leave the Judgement up to God. Got enough of my own I'll be facing when it is my turn. Last thing I need is God looking at me with that parental raised eyebrow saying, "And you thought you had the authority to do that why? Do you think it is funny?"

I wasn't surprised with the verdict as my cousin was a jury profiler and told the fam that he would walk. I agree with the posts referring to meeting with THE righteous judge.

In his youth, he got paid a lot of money to play a game he was good at. Then his later life became a circus and two people died in very fishy circumstances and he walked because of the color of his skin. THIS is what people will remember. Same goes for Robert Blake. Great actor but his memory will be marred by the death of the mother of his child and his involvement. Another example is Bruce "Katilin" Jenner. Very few remember him for being an Olympic gold medalist. More remember him as the one-time spouse of Kris Jenner and then because of his transformation to Kaitlin Jenner.

All kids and younger folks nowadays can think of when they he of OJ is the Ford Bronco and the trial. And some now are even too young to remember THAT, never mind what he was in the 1970s...

Yeah, I know you are right, Kathy.

BUT, maybe I am an imperfect human and a sinner (well, there is no maybe about that), but there is so much happening to make us angry nowadays, it feels good for a moment to gloat about the “loss” of that disgusting piece of (thankfully, finally dead) protoplasm.

Wishful thinking, but I'd like to think that on his deathbed he penned a confession or made a verbal statement, apology or whatever taking responsibility for his actions that could make its way to the victim's families. Like I said, wishful thinking....

Now that I can clearly see the 3-letter agencies for what they are and how evidence is manipulated in a two tiered justice system I assume that O.J. was one of the protected elite back in his day. I just didn't see the CIA, FBI, and DOJ for what it was back then.
