Opinions re: 75 Toyota Landcruiser w/350

Found one in my neighborhood, stopped and asked about it. It's got a Chevy 350 w/edelbrock manifold and carb, 4sp, front disc conversion, and both hard and soft tops. Owner is asking $1600 obo. Opinions? I don't need a V-8 anything to feed, but I know the TLC reputation and this seems well below the current market price for the ones I see in the auto trader.

That is a really good price if the truck is in sound condition. I had a 63 fj-45(short bed pick up) that I sold for $3500 a few years ago. It had a 350 with a turbo 350 trans. My dad has a 66 fj-40 that is slightly apart right now and needs paint, and quite a bit more work. He could probably get $1500 as is right now. If we fixed it up, probably $3500. If I had the cash and it checked out okay, I would buy it. The old Landcruisers are not going to lose value, and will probably go up more in the future. I would not have sold my Cruiser had I known it was kinda rare, found out it was worth more than I sold it for

Right on about checking for rust! And if it's okay, I'd go for it. You can get anything, anywhere for the Chevy small blocks.

I'm looking at it as a profitable deal, considering what they seem to be selling for. Not that I wouldn't mind playing with it for a while, but I doubt it would be a daily driver. If I could turn $1500 into $3500...
