I have two luscious looking pear trees that have produced in the past - not real great, but still pears - this year . . . nothing. The trees look good and healthy.
I only have one peach tree and it too, looks very healthy. Last year I got a few peaches from it - not really great ones, but still peaches. When it blooms, the blooms do not seem to open fully and I'm not sure what that means.
Now, I do live in the Florida Panhandle and know that some fruit trees do not do well here - but neighbors have had wonderful harvests from peaches and pears. I have a couple of apple trees that are from a strain that has been acclimated to this area for many, many generations.
What's up with the pear and peach trees?
