Piers Morgan Asks Kyle Rittenhouse Point-Blank How It ‘Feels’ To ‘Kill Two Human Beings’

TV host Piers Morgan on Wednesday pressed Kyle Rittenhouse on his show “Piers Morgan Uncensored” about how he felt about shooting three people in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in 2020.

A jury in Wisconsin acquitted Rittenhouse on murder charges in November 2021 stemming from an August 2020 incident when he shot two rioters in what he said was self-defense. “You’ve killed two human beings and wounded a third,” Morgan said. “I just wonder how that feels.”

“I don’t think it’s an appropriate question to ask how it feels,” Rittenhouse responded. “It’s not an easy thing to do it, something I live with every single day. It’s nightmares I have, it’s something that I had to deal with. I had to deal with the PTSD and the trauma from having to do that.”

The rioting in Kenosha started after police shot and paralyzed Jacob Blake while trying to take him into custody. The officer who shot Blake was reinstated after not being charged.

Rittenhouse fatally shot Joseph Rosenbaum after Rosenbaum reached for the AR-15 rifle Rittenhouse was carrying, then shot Anthony Huber after Huber used a skateboard to attack the teenager. Rittenhouse shot and wounded Gaige Grosskreutz after Grosskreutz aimed a pistol at him.

“It seems to me, your emotions are more about you and your trauma, because your life was being threatened, and that side of it, rather than — the question I’m asking, which is simply on a human level, how do you feel about being so young and yet having on the record for the rest of your life now that you took the lives of two people regardless of the circumstances,” Morgan said.

“And like I just said, it’s something I deal with every day,” Rittenhouse responded. “I deal with the PTSD and the trauma and the nightmares. It’s not easy to deal with it.”

Over 91% of 637 riots from May 26, 2020 to Sept. 12, 2020, were linked to Black Lives Matter, according to a 2020 study from Princeton University’s US Crisis Monitor.

The sound of that ass's name is bad enough but but you should my wife's reaction to his attacks on 2A.

Pretty sure she'll make a pound cake on celebration of his death; I damn sure hope I live long enough to recyccle some of that on the post hole he gets stuffed into . . . .

Peers Moron is just perpetuating the subtle implication that self-defense is somehow wrong.

Ritt was in the wrong place. His experience has been scrutinized extensively. What I haven't heard discussed is the fact he chose to expend time&effort to remove other people's graffiti. He felt some altruistic urge to provide basic first aid and comfort to rioters with pepper spray in their face. Does he still feel those acts of humanity were warranted to those rioters?

Yeah, there's a witness stand or a Sunday school answer. There's also a basic logical truth schmucks like Moron can't handle...

The same as any young man who joined the military at a young age and went to war ....because that's what that was that night !

I hear this from Owner all the time. His church seems populated with the "lay down & die" Christians who won't lift a finger to defend themselves (pacifists.)

As he says "I live behind enemy lines."

Meanwhile, Owner tries to explain to the pastor that defensive military is justified because there are so many others who would wish the US - AND ITS VALUES - be taken down. Of course this presupposes that the US values are the "right" values. I suspect he does well in his explanation until he gets to that part in the debate.

And given the US values TODAY - one can understand how this might be in question.

Owner explains to me that Jesus was a pacifist - but only on his final denouement - and this only because He could not complete his "mission" without his Resurrection. Otherwise, Owner says, Jesus was much as anyone - defending his Maker given life as "investment" in a greater life's plan.

can't believe Rittenhouse is that stupid to keep feeding the Lefties - he's got $$$$ to stay undercover - get on with his life - he needs to get a $$$$ biz going or actually go to college and learn something >>>

he's going to regret all this young age BS and wish he had a life .....

Perfect answer, he's the victim from this event. FPM wasn't able to catch him for a soundbite either.

I'm sorry! I hope Owner finds a new church that shares his same values.

Good shoot!
But should’ve got several more….
Yes but Kyle wasn't experienced in that environment - nothing a little focused training wouldn't correct - and most of the potential targets were 'dark' and operating in their normal environment (also dark) . . . . .

I openly admit to bias here . . . . .

Kyle gave a good answer to Morgan's contemptuous baiting questions. The one thing I fault Kyle for was that it appeared to me from the videos of the incident in which he shot 3 people in self defense was that he had no one else accompanying him (who was on his side). He should have gone into that fray with at least one other similarly armed guy (and preferably more than one), so that someone could have assisted him when he was attacked. Someone correct me if I'm wrong about that, but it appeared to me he was alone in an environment full of "hostiles". That's one lesson learned in this incident - try to avoid going into a fracas like that without backup.

He wasn’t alone, but a cascading series of security failures by rank amateurs led to him being in that condition.

Consider that, anything righteous in the Bible, even in the Old Testament, is something that Jesus himself would have done in the same position.

Whoever told that young man to talk to the media is giving him horrible advice.
Exactly what I was thinking. It was self defense pure and simple...kill or be killed. If he hadn't had the three point sling, they would have killed him with his own gun.

Kyle got seperated from his group, and was running away from these intent on doing harm to him. That was a big thing in is court defense.
