‘General Hospital,’ ‘Days of Our Lives’ star Tyler Christopher dead at 50
By Erin Keller
Published Oct. 31, 2023, 7:34 p.m. ET

Tyler Christopher, the actor best known for his Emmy-nominated role on “General Hospital” has died. He was 50.

His “GH” co-star Maurice Benard confirmed his death Tuesday on Instagram.

“It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Tyler Christopher,” Benard wrote. “Tyler passed away this morning following a cardiac event in his San Diego apartment.”

“Tyler was a truly talented individual that lit up the screen in every scene he performed and relished bringing joy to his loyal fans through his acting. Tyler was a sweet soul and wonderful friend to all of those who knew him.”

He added, “Tyler was an advocate for better mental health and substance use treatment who openly spoke about his struggles with bipolar depression and alcohol. We are beyond devastated by the loss of our dear friend and pray for his children and his father.”

Christopher’s rep Chi Muoi Lo also confirmed the actor’s death to The Post.

“I can confirm that Tyler Christopher has passed away this morning,” they wrote in the statement. “This news was incredibly shocking, and I am devastated by his loss. He was a very gifted actor, and more importantly, an amazing friend. My
heart goes out to his friends and family who loved him so much.”

Christopher portrayed both Nikolas Cassadine from 1996 to 2016, as well as Connor Bishop from 2004 to 2005 on ABC’s “General Hospital.”

In 2016, Christopher won the Daytime Emmy for his performance as Nikolas, and he previously earned four nominations.

A year later, he joined NBC’s “Days of Our Lives” as Stefan DiMera, for which he scored a Daytime Emmy nomination for outstanding lead actor in a drama series.

He left the series in 2019 and was recast with Brandon Barash.

Also in 2019, Christopher was arrested and charged with public intoxication in Indiana.

Christopher was married to Eva Longoria from 2002 to 2004.

He married auto racing reporter Brienne Pedigo in 2008 until their divorce was finalized in 2021.

He is survived by his two kids with Pedigo, a son Greyson James born in 2009, and a girl, Boheme born in 2015.

Sad side note -- but I bet the actors that were fired for not getting the *clot*shot are thankful they got fired. I know I would be. Not the first person from this show that died suddenly since the shot.

I remember that Ingo Rademacher vehemently objected to the shots, and got fired. He sued and apparently lost. I didn't know he was a Trump supporter. <-- :shd:

And so, "based on health reasons" isn't a good enough reason to object to the jabs?

ABC Triumphs Against Lawsuit Filed By Ingo Rademacher Over Mandatory Covid Vaccination

By Lynette Rice
June 6, 2023 3:39pm

Ingo Rademacher’s legal battle with ABC over his refusal to get vaxxed while working on General Hospital is over: A Los Angeles Superior Court Judge agreed with ABC in that the actor’s opposition was based on health reasons rather than his religious leanings.

A detailed ruling is expected in next several weeks from the very busy Judge Stephen Goorvitch. Rademacher’s attorney had no comment when contacted by Deadline. However, based on precedent, it is very likely the actor will appeal.

Weeks after Rademacher was pink slipped from General Hospital for not getting the Covid-19 vaccination, the actor in December of 2021 slammed the Disney-owned network with a wide-ranging civil rights lawsuit on constitutional grounds. At the time, Disney had one of the strictest vaccine mandates of any Hollywood studio and most major corporations.

Rademacher had been a vocal critic of COVID-19 vaccine efficacy and mandates.

“ABC’s actions are blatantly unlawful,” proclaimed the complaint filed in LA Superior Court by the law firm of JW Howard Attorneys, LTD. “ABC does not have the authority to force a medical treatment to its employees against their will … These actions constitute religious discrimination and violate Mr. Rademacher’s rights under state and federal law.”

In March of this year, Rademacher’s attorneys filed paperwork opposing ABC’s motion to toss the case out. Rademacher alleged he was really canned because folks on the show objected to him voting for Trump in 2020 and decrying the “false hope” of getting the jab.

“ABC had a duty to accommodate Ingo,” insisted the filing by lawyers Scott J. Street and John W. Howard over their client’s religious exemption request over corporate Covid vaccine requirements. “Instead, it put him through a sham process that was designed to fail, and which was meant to cover up the real reason for Ingo’s termination: his political views.”

Rachemacher had played Jasper “Jax” Jacks on General Hospital since 1996.

It's still going on...

and on.

:(

Indeed it is.

Now we have a first-hand experience of the power of denial in human souls when we must face an inconvenient truth.

I had often wondered how the German citizens could’ve turned a blind eye to the holocaust. How they could’ve just ignored those trains rumbling by on the way to Auschwitz. Not anymore. Who would’ve thought that we ourselves would one day see such things?

What percentage of people refuse to even consider the possibility that a worldwide genocide is now taking place? The levels of denial and apathy are stunning, even here on this forum.

It is important that we continue to put these names and faces out there. Don’t turn away. Look into the eyes of the people whose lives are being snuffed out at such young ages.

Grieve. Pray. Keep the faith. Speak the truth. Be the salt.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Yale School of Medicine is mourning an assistant professor and "dedicated member of the Yale community" since 2011 who died suddenly Nov. 5 at age 41.

Miraj Desai, Ph.D.—an assistant professor at the Program for Recovery and Community Health of Yale School of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry—"made groundbreaking contributions to the new field of 'structural psychology,' a field examining the structural bases of health, equity, and inequity," the school said in an In Memoriam post on its website Monday.

Among Desai's accomplishments is the development of the concept of "implicit organizational bias," the theory that the mental health system prioritizes clients seen as "ideal," the school noted. Clients seen as such typically conform to norms held by organizations about what an ideal client should act like as they allow the system to "operate more efficiently," according to the American Psychological Association.

A firm advocate through his work, Desai was also an author whose book "Travel and Movement in Clinical Psychology: The World Outside the Clinic" examined the relationship between mental health forms of oppression like racism and economic and climate injustice.

In addition to a variety of grants and awards including the K01 award from the National Institute on Minority Health and Disparities, Desai was named a 40 Under 40 Leader in Health by the National Minority Quality Forum in 2022, a "Newsmaker," by the American Public Health Association in 2021, and received a nomination for the Ralph Waldo Emerson Award in 2019.

Desai began his Yale career in 2011 as a predoctoral clinical fellow before moving into a postdoctoral fellowship at the West Haven VA Medical Center and then joining Yale's Program for Recovery and Community Health.

During his years at Yale, Desai was a Pierson College resident fellow, worked in the Center on Climate Change and Health and Yale School of Public Health, was a member of the South Asian Studies Council, and created and was director of the Structural Health and Psychology lab, the school said.

Desai was also a husband to Dr. Usha Reena Rungoo and father to a young son named Indra, according to Yale.

Sad, but being in public health, my guess is that he was a true believer and thus effectively committed suicide.

First hand story to add. I’ll not post any links because OPSEC but one of our work clients “died suddenly” late last week.
Age 53….family devastated.
:(

He was a local family physician with, I think, some other medical area of expertise he practiced in as well and SUCH a nice man and family. They have two animals in our care.
One son I know of for sure, maybe more?

He was also the personal physician of one of my good friends for many years.

***id bet he was fully vaxxed, being an MD and licensed with area hospitals.

According to yesterdays message from Dr. Campbell, deaths, according to LIFE INSURANCE reports, have
risen in some places to 10-30% above normal, and
those higher Death rates have persisted since Covid started, greatly increased with vaccinations through
ALL age groups. Thats a LOT more people dying
prematurely.

By Hayley Raatsi
Published: Nov. 29, 2023 at 12:10 PM EST|Updated: 24 hours ago

DULUTH, MN. (Northern News Now) - Heartbreak has struck the UMD community after a football player suddenly passed away.

Senior defensive lineman Reed Ryan, 22, died on Nov. 28, according to UMD.

In a press conference on Nov. 29, UMD head coach Curt Wiese confirmed Ryan had a cardiac arrest on Tuesday, Nov. 21 at the school’s weight room.

University officials say he was an excellent student over his academic career.

Ryan was enrolled in the UMD Labovitz School of Business and Economics as a double major in Marketing and Professional Sales.

“Our staff and players are devastated about Reed’s passing,” said UMD head football coach Curt Wiese. “Reed aspired to be better every day at whatever task was at hand. He helped bring out the best in others with his positive attitude, infectious smile, and genuine care for the people around him. We were fortunate to have Reed on our team, and he made our program, our department, and our community a better place in a short period of time. Reed will be greatly missed, but his legacy will live on forever. He was the epitome of a UMD Bulldog, and what we can all aspire to be. To his family, thank you for allowing us to be part of his inspiring young life. Reed was a Bulldog through and through.”

Don't get excited.

There always were performers, news talking heads, top-condition athletes and children dropping dead from Global Warming, we're just focusing on it now due to completely unnecessary concern about a completely, utterly and simply beyond question safe and EFFECTIVE vaccine.

Nothing to see here, move along...

Worth watching about what one nurse witnessed that began all of this…. :kaid:

I hope she's safe.

And has people looking out for her...

Their discussion after the 17m mark regarding the data capture 'anomolies' along are worthy of deep investigation.

i.e. Ventilated patients were automatically data-populated as "Unvaccinated", and didn't train or allow nurses to correct the data if the Pt. was actually vacc'd; this massively skews the data and supports the 'Narrative' - and if true, points to a massive criminal conspiracy.

All in all, a profoundly important interview with someone who was on the front lines when the deed was being done.

Well worth the time.

This is another one that after being sentenced to jail for a crime (I’m intentionally not listing it) in 2020, he blamed it on his drug addiction. While I’ve been told people here don’t care to learn the stories behind the obituaries, he did leave behind 8 children, and no matter his personal demons, it’s horribly sad they won’t have their dad.

Just a reminder when you’re posting people’s obituaries on a public forum, the current leading cause of death in the US for people aged 50 and under is drug overdose. And many people don’t want something so tragic to be posted. Celebrities are one thing, but I still vehemently oppose posting regular every day people in this list, unless their families have given you permission.

Because now even drugs that look like real-deal prescriptions are now being laced with Fentanyl. I stopped buying certain prescriptions in Mexico for this reason, and recently there was a big to do here of people who had pill counterfeiting devices and were selling ‘prescription’ pills that they made in their garage, with, you guessed it, fentanyl.

Stay safe kids, and please be decent humans.

No doubt some of the obits I’ve posted here are victims of drug overdoses or suicide.

For clarification, my approach is statistical. You correctly point out the drug addicts. I could counter by pointing out the athletes and the soccer moms, but this is not a zero-sum game.
Fentanyl? Definitely a factor.
Suicide? Sadly, yes, numbers here are way up, too.
mRNA gene therapy injections? This is where we differ.

Consider…8 days after getting the shot, never took a drug in his life, 43 years old, dropped dead on his kitchen floor. I knew the man personally.

Statistics show something is going on.

“Decent humans” will note the dramatic increase in sudden deaths and will push for answers. If your position is that drugs and suicide are the primary causes of the recent onslaught, I reject that. Statistically, an additional event is evident.

Aside: Your point that families may not want the obituaries of their loved ones posted without permission is ludicrous. The families themselves pay money to the news organization for the express purpose of making these obituaries public. If families want privacy, they can choose to keep the death private, but once they publish it, well, then it’s public. You can’t have it both ways.

Exactly. My Mom didn't want ANYTHING posted in the local rag sheet. She considered herself a very private person...I believe there's a fine line between very private and paranoid.

She got her wish. No obituary listed ANYWHERE. None ever written. No funeral service.

I did have a memorial luncheon in memory of her. Mostly family. Not many friends were left.
