Neither here nor there.
So with the discussion of the H1N5 virus being found in dairy cattle, and the potential for the FDA/USDA to demand wholesale slaughter of our dairy cattle herds, I did a thing yesterday. I ordered a container of whole fat milk Hoosier Hills Farm brand, and a non fat milk Nestle's Swiss Miss. I'll be making some bread machine recipes this coming weekend, one of which is Molasses bread, that calls for powdered milk.
I have opened both containers and the whole milk one really smells rich and like whole milk or even cream. The non fat one smells like skim milk, lol.
And of course I'll hydrate some of each to taste test, and once I decide which one we like the best I'll order a few more containers, vacuum seal and store in the freezer.
I thought there was a thread here about powdered milk but wasn't able to find it, curious as to which brands everyone here likes.
