Here in SW Arizona, as of late it has been rainy again with El Nino. Most of the western US is below normal for the snowpack in the mountains, especially in parts of Washington, Northern Idaho, and Montana. If it doesn't change there could be some real fires next summer in places of the high country. But some places in Alaska like Anchorage though has received record snow this winter.
Some of the best places in the west for the snowpack is in SE Oregon, nearby Nevada, very southern Idaho, and nearby Utah.
This is according to the western US snow water equivalent map, which goes by water basin drainages.
