Ruth Bader Ginsburg: ‘I’m Cancer-Free’

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg announced this week that she is cancer-free after her latest treatments for pancreatic cancer.

“I’m cancer-free. That’s good,” Ginsburg told CNN’s Joan Biskupic.

The 86-year-old Supreme Court justice underwent three weeks of radiation treatment at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in August 2019 after doctors discovered a cancerous tumor on her pancreas during a routine blood test.

“Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg today completed a three-week course of stereotactic ablative radiation therapy at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City,” the court’s statement read at the time.

It continued:
The focused radiation treatment began on August 5 and was administered on an outpatient basis to treat a tumor on her pancreas. The abnormality was first detected after a routine blood test in early July, and a biopsy performed on July 31 at Sloan Kettering confirmed a localized malignant tumor.”
The statement added that Ginsburg maintained an “active schedule” and confirmed that the tumor was treated, leaving “no evidence of disease elsewhere in the body.”

“Justice Ginsburg will continue to have periodic blood tests and scans. No further treatment is needed at this time,” the statement added.

Ginsburg has struggled with her health in recent years, fighting cancer on more than one occasion.

As Breitbart News detailed:
Ginsburg, the liberal face of the Supreme Court, has fought cancer on and off for roughly two decades. She underwent a procedureto remove malignant nodules from her left lung on December 21st of last year. The cancerous growths were discovered while receiving treatment for a fall in her office. Ginsburg missed the court’s oral arguments for several days in February, participating in cases using transcripts — a first in the justice’s 25-year tenure on the bench.

Ginsburg has experienced several health issues in recent years. The justice underwent cancer surgeries in 1999 and 2009 and broke her ribs in at least two separate occasions. In 2014, Ginsburg had a stent inserted into her heart.
Ginsburg spoke to the public about her health scare during an appearance at the National Book Festival in Washington, DC, in late August, telling the crowd, “As this audience can see, I am alive… and I’m on my way to being very well”:

“For one thing, I love my job,” Ginsburg added. “It’s the best and the hardest job I’ve ever had. It has kept me going through four cancer bouts. Instead of concentrating on my aches and pains, I just know that I have to read this set of briefs.”

So many young, vital people have lost their battle with pancreatic cancer. This isn't easy to understand.

Patrick Swayze died in 2009, Steve Jobs in 2011, both from pancreatic cancer.

RBG first beat pancreatic cancer in 2009, and now again in 2019/20. This would imply that if there's a cure, they are being very picky about who gets it, and it's more about how important you are to the deep state than about how much money you can afford to spend for the cure.

RBG also beat the kind of lung cancer that only around 10 or 15 percent of people survive. And now pancreatic cancer TWICE.

The conspiracy theories write themselves.

Neither here nor there.

It makes one wonder doesn't it!

I am convinced that certain people get treatments that none of us will ever see. Anyone remember a few years ago when Jimmy Carter had a huge brain tumor and only a short time to live and then like magic, he was cancer free.

I loathe to say it, and the lord does as he will!, But survival rates are dismal for that cancer...and it's had to take a # and stand in line with all else wrong with her.

According to the American Cancer Society, for all stages of pancreatic cancer combined, the one-year relative survival rate is 20%, and the five-year rate is 7%. ... In those cases where resection can be performed, the average survival rate is 23 to 36 months

She may be cancer free, but I also bet we'll be reading her obitchuary :) by the end of the year.

I don't buy her cancer free claims. She has been cooked by radiation and taken chemo how many times already? And she's how old? The odds of her being cancer free are infimitesimal.

At some point soon her body is just going to say "enough" and she's going to die. Frankly, the sooner the better too.

Nothing that RBG says about her health can be taken in isolation. Anything she says must be interpreted in terms of what it means if Trump is to appoint a successor. To RBG and the leftists, nothing else matters. I wish no harm to RBG, who I actually like, but her announcement strikes me as disingenuous.

Once it's been in the pancreas, it HAS spread to someplace else and is just hiding out, waiting to appear. Have known too many people with it.

But, given her age, and general state (frail), she may die of something unrelated before the cancer gets her.

The end times are here.
I don't believe she's cancer free. I agree with AlfaMan, she'll be pushing up daisies pretty soon.

Yes, Don't forget the fall, removed lung lobe, pneumonia and whatever else I forget.
That package has expired multiple times over.

Blood tests.
Certain substances, such as carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and CA 19-9, are elevated in people with pancreatic cancer. However, blood tests don't allow for early detection of pancreatic cancer, because these levels may not rise until pancreatic cancer is advanced, if at all.Nov 13, 2019

Wasn't sure if this went with the specialty VIA lab above or web MD below on the Google search. Either way.. Not routine.

Cancer Treated with Animal Deworming Medication

Joe Tippens was only given three months to live. But doctors later enrolled him in a clinical trial they hoped could give him more time. Tippens said he received a tip from a veterinarian who suggested he try a dog dewormer drug called fenbendazole, which was believed to display cancer-fighting properties, according to cell studies. This is what happened...
