So as you can see, I'm pretty much as close as I'm going to get without getting work. But if I need to jump in and live in it, I can do that now and reasonably expect everything to work. I am beginning initial provisioning. I've already loaded 18 weeks worth of dog food into one of the basement compartments. Also, I've loaded personal hygiene supplies and the OTC meds that I use, as well as silverware and measuring cups and spoons.

I still need to load dishes and cookware, of which I have a "second set" buried somewhere in the basement that I need to find. Towels are on-board, as are washcloths and dish towels. TP and paper towels are loaded as well. I'm trying to load the miscellaneous stuff first. Stuff that when I finally have to load-up and go, I'd likely forget in the rush. When that time arrives, all I want to have to load are dog toys and beds, clothes and food, fill the fresh water tank, and GO. Oh, I have a couple of those zero gravity lounge chairs from Wal-mart, so I have something to sit on when I'm outside. (I can't believe that I had NO "outside" foldup chairs at all.

So one thing at a time. But it sure felt good this morning to rip off all that old cabinet trim and replace it with the new stuff. Looks really nice in there now. I still have a little woodworking to do, so I haven't cleaned the floors in it yet. That comes after everything else is complete and I'm not making messes in there from "remodeling."

Oh, and I'd better not need anything more by way of immediate repairs, because I'm stripped bare of funding from all this...

Sounds like you are just about good to go. Are packing anything in your tow vehicle? I put stuff in every nook and cranny. You can look at this as an adventure. When I went out west in the winter of '01 I didn't think I'd be back for a long time so I took my most favorite books, my computer, my tv, my three cats and other things to make me comfortable and I was fine.

Now I'm off to buy a camper today. Wish me luck.

And the best of luck to you.

We need pictures you know.

I am pulling it. But that's a "dinghy" vehicle. a tow vehicle like you mentioned above is one that pulls a 5th wheel or TT.

Denis-- tell me about this privacy curtain you need.

You got dimensions and colors? What kind of rod does it need to hang on?
I have a huge amount of fabric, can sew a simple curtain for ya.

Gimme details and I might whip one out for ya (Free, cause I'm not good enough to charge money! HAHAHA)

Oh, and ya get what ya pay for (nothing), so no whining if ya dont like it.

ANd if ya annoy me in the meantime, you might get fabric with pink bunnies on it.
MWAHAHAHAHAAAAAA

Now you can get busy going through all the household items for things that you can't/or won't have room for in the R.V. and have a yard sale while people still have a little bit of spending money. I know it's hard to divest yourself of accumulated stuff but you know your going to end up as a full timer in your R.V. so you might as well go through things that your not going to have room for. And I sure hope you can find a buyer for your generator, that sure would give you some operating capital for awhile.

I recommend a few more things... a small gas grill...you will use it!!! You can pick one up at Lowe's or Home Depot, the legs fold up around it and it has a lid. They sit on a picnic table.

A electric heater....the furnaces aren't trust worthy...the mother boards go out on the coldest of nights ( and yeah, I know you are going south, but it will still be chilly) Plus...if you are staying somewhere where the elec. is included...you aren't burning your propane.

Pick up an extra water pump. If you are somewhere where you aren't hooked to water and have to fill the tanks...who knows how old the one in the MH is...so its good insurance.

Extra light bulbs....those damn little bulbs don't last long...very short life span.

The door curtain needs to be 24" by 40". I'll take a picture of the hanging method and post it to this thread. The interior of the RV is a light beige color.

You've already loaded your mouse food?.... um, dog food? Heard some funny horror stories about storing food that's not surrounded by metal :D

ETA: Just looked at the date on this thread. Guess you've either got a couple of 20 lb mice in there, or you solved the pilfering problem! :micky::micky:
