Schumer just made an opening statement WHINING this is a watered down process and rushed.....much like what the house did! :lkick: Debates over the rules are today.

Listening to Rush, he surmised this speech as Schumer putting out a 'may day' of sorts to 4 republican senators to JOIN THE D's in asking for NEW EVIDENCE AND WITNESSES to be introduced.

Rush said the D's are targeting R senators they think may be in trouble for re-election. Rush said the R senators are in NO TROUBLE for reelection as long as they vote FOR Trump and against the insanity the D's have put forth. Rush said the D's are looking for 4 Jeff Flakes.

:shr: Well it is a 'TRAIL' of sorts. A TRAIL OF CORRUPTION that started with the D's trying to infect Trump's campaign and presidency, and when Trump got close to a segment of the corruption in Ukraine, the TRAIL led to the house for impeachment and has continued into the senate. But regardless, I misspelled and have now fixed. Thanks for pointing that out.

WH: The man Democrats appointed to lead these proceedings is Adam Schiff - who has been caught lying multiple times about Russia collusion evidence that didn’t exist, made up a totally phony phone conversation about Ukraine that never happened


WH: The Democrats are an utter joke - they have no case, andthis latest political stunt proves it. The idea that the Counsel to the President has to turn over protected documents and confidential information is ludicrous

I'm haunted by my thoughts on this impeachment which occurred even before these House circus proceedings began. I'm the kind of person who worries if he doesn't have something to worry about. We all know how cunning and treacherous the ruling class and their democrats are. I fear they will come up with some kind of a charge in the 'trial' portion against Trump that will give Republicans a reason, and for some an excuse, to remove him from office. (How many times have we beat them back only to fight a new battle within the week?) The charge will be a lie but hard to refute. They are desperate to end Trump's and his followers' power.

Remember the worries about the gun rally yesterday in VA? That's what I think will happen should the R's join the D's in impeachment.

1) With this new resolution, the Senate could stretch out the arguments over three session days, potentially in eight hour batches. The revamped resolution is silent when it comes to the specificity of “time” and at no point mentions eight hours.
But…


2) With the trial resolution change, we are led to believe is that the impeachment managers could make their case over three session days…Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and then have the WH wrap up their case on Friday alone. WH has said repeatedly it doesn't need much time

In the Senate trial, expect a short recess (5-15 minutes) after Schumer offers his first amendment, but before the debate on that amendment. Fox is also told to expect a very late night

Schumer's upcoming amendment asks the Senate to compel Mulvaney to produce documents about communications Trump had in preparation for the July 25 phone call & September 25 mtg w/Zelensky in NY. Also asks for documents from Bolton, Robert Blair & other admin officials
