My son mirrored me...and we rarely discuss politics.

But I did not mirror my parents, tho my brother and sister do.

Go figure.

My two who were voting in their first election as 19 and 21. They both voted the way we did, but it was their informed decision. On the other hand, my parents didn't vote when I was growing up and even when I was a young adult. I started voting before they did. They now vote the way I do. :D

I should say that my son and I went over the ballot together. Florida had something like 8 constitutional amendments on it, and I thought he needed to go to the polls knowing them ahead of time.

We made a 'cheat sheet' for him so he could breeze in and out. Some of the wording in them was very difficult to understand.

I was not a clone of my parents so far as political views were concerned.

And at FIVE years of age my daugher already disagrees with her mother and I! She told us quite matter of factly this afternoon that SHE wanted to vote for George W. Bush!.

.....Alan.
