That article sounds like fear mongering. When is the last time anybody outside of DC or the west coast give a thought to oil from Alaska. I know here in Texas I have never given it a thought until I see a stupid article like this and than I think “well that is stupid” it is way cheaper to get oil from Texas or Louisiana.

The green agenda is going to result in death on an unimaginable scale... shutting off affordable hydrocarbons is checkmate for most of society.

No fertilizer for industrial scale agriculture equals mass starvation.
No energy for heat.. no more energy to produce that "magical electricity" that somehow just comes out of the wall... and pumps potable water to the masses that quite frankly deserve to experience cholera due to their willful ignorance and apathy....

I have come to the point that I hate the chattering class so much that I cynically look forward to running this gauntlet just to be rid of them!

..and that declaring a "national emergency" is a real thing that presidents can and do do, and using such policy to affect political ends grants a frightening expansion o' presidential powers.

Anyone who was conscious through their last power grab-COVID debacle should be well aware their having any power over our lives, let alone expanded powers, gives us real and just cause for concern.

As always, "we have met the enemy, and he is us" and to be clear, I mean our toxic stunted skin sac petty natures, that turns our backs on the blessings and amazing potentials we hold, and is content to live small, ugly lives doing small, mean, meaningless, even horrifically destructive, things to ourselves and one another... NOT our (negligible) effect on the climate
