Thank you Merciful Father for bringing our friends home safe. Where You dwell, there can never be tyranny.
I'm not very good at prayers out loud. If somebody wanted to pick this up and add their words I wouldn't mind.
AM, a big THANK YOU for your time & effort !!!!Folks, home safe and semi warm now. I wanted to thank everyone on TB2K for the honor or serving as an unofficial news source for the TB2K family. It was an important day for Virginia and potentially for the entire country, and each of us, whether virtually or actually, can say "we were there".
I wanted to especially thank Ibetiny and Sacajawea for posting the pics and text info I sent. I know I drove yall crazy but your efforts are sincerely appreciated. The text and pic relay worked from looking at this thread, and worked well. AWESOME!
Thought I'd share some thoughts of the day with yall.
Got to the diamond (VCDL's shuttle service ran from there) about 630. Parking lot was packed already with vehicles from a variety of states. And the lines for the shuttle buses ran from one end of that parking lot alllllllwwwwwaaaaayyyyyy down to the other side. The crowd was super friendly, people offering gloves to those who didn't have them, people giving out water, etc. VERY family friendly atmosphere (with guns!). I would have had ZERO problems taking the missus to this event with this type of crowd if she didn't have to work today.
The shuttle buses were extremely nice and the driver rocked. He was toting too! He dropped us off at 9th and Clay streets, as we got off he made sure to point how to get to the capitol (3 blocks away, and most of one block was Richmond PD it looked like). VERY safe. In one of the lots was a mobile cell tower truck (read-Stingray). Marked with AT&T on the outside, had a gen set running and think people were inside as well. Federal level surveillance methinks.
Got to the site, guns guns guns EVERYWHERE. It was awesome, and not one fruitcake making an a** of themselves with them either. Antifa WAS in the crowd, young kids with no guns scraggly beards and keffeh scarves almost to a man. Stuck out like sore thumbs and didn't interact with the crowd. Everybody else was talking with each other, chatting, laughing, comparing guns and just in general having a good time.
I was outside the fence for a while, took pics but one thing I saw almost made this GA redneck harda** bust into tears. It was the pic of the flag promoting the preservation of Confederate monuments. My family fought to preserve their freedoms; here I was almost 130 years later essentially doing the same thing. I told the flag holder how much I appreciated his flag, and talked about my family in the battle of New Hope, Kennesaw Mountain, Kingston, etc. Flagman was a street philosopher; he told me freedom was in my blood and I honor my ancestors and their memory by being there. Mr. Cold Fish redneck almost started balling at that; I'd thought a bit that way but he put it out there for all to see and then topped it with "God bless you" and a man hug. Whoa.
Regained my composure and made my way up the street to go inside the kill box. Walked a block, passing a wild variety of signage (hope the pics were ok) and throngs of peaceful, pleasant committed and polite!!! people. Ever passed through a crowd and people push and jostle you? Not here, the folks were "Excuse me" and " hey there" and hello! . Like the entire crowd took an IV bag of camomile tea before they came in. Southern manners on display folks, such a refreshing change from the DC swamp!
Anyway, got to the metal detectors. 17 of them, a stack of riots shields were stacked off to one side (and unused). VA state police (VSP) ran the entry point. Polite to a fault but VERY thorough. Dropped my fanny pack on the table, my medic alert bracelet, my Blackberry (All pics I sent today were done by Blackberry Passport, shameless plug . Told the officer I had stents in my heart and they sometimes set off the detectors. He calmly and slowly!! (even though there were crowds) mentioned if I "went off" the officer would wand me. Went through with no problems; but had to wait an additional 5 minutes to get the fanny pack back. They didn't empty it but every single nook and cranny of it was searched and thoroughly too.
Had a sealed pack of Marlboros (Yes I cheated today, thought an E cigarette would have caused more problems.) The lighter did not, the officer said I could pick it up on the way back, said there were folks around inside with matches I could get a light from (hmm, think about that intel gathering technique.........). I went and bummed lights from people already smoking (because officers generally DON"T smoke. Think about that). Met some freaking wonderful people that way; had chats with each of them. Pleasant as could be.
Went up to the top of the hill at the capitol, took pics of some signs and headed down to the bottom of the kill box (and snipers were up and around the capitol, supreme court building and think one was on top of the US court of appeals too).
Got to the fence and saw Alex Jones screaming over the megaphone to the crowd (he sounded like Kermit the Frog!) But passionate and if he'd given an order to storm the gates the entire crowd would have followed him!) He shouted a chant of lock Gov Northam up, everyone did and dummy me says don't just lock him up, string him up! As loud as I could, then did my finest proper rebel yell...... People around me agreed, except for the tail I picked up. Older, grey haired, wearing Carhartts coat and looked like pants too. Scruff of a beard too. Saw his eyes as I turned around, he was 20 feet away and staring straight at me. Stuck around and chatted with the cute and very sweet German tv reporter (1ZDF was there, and she was getting an education. I mentioned "Ich bin Freddy Schenck" (famous character from the German crime TV series Tatort) and her face lit up with a 50,000 watt smile. Neat TV show, think of a German version of Law and Order. Been on their TV since 1970!!!
We chatted for a while off camera, she was utterly amazed there were so many weapons there yet nobody was violent or shooting or throwing stuff. I told her America is a very friendly place but when rights are infringed we protest and fight. Told her our rights are hard fought for and cherished like precious metals. People were describing the announcers on the stage in the open carry zone, the reason for the guns, the rights, etc. I hope she got a great story today, she was a joy to talk to. Did I mention she was cute?
After talking with her I started moving; so did tail man. AND as I moved picked up a tail woman. Dressed too lightly for the event, think both were local or state level cops. They converged and I took off. Hard to do I had a bright yellow safety coat on. So I took off, asked one man for a light and found he'd driven down from Alexandria too, enjoyed the chat and kept going up the hill. It was comic seeing them tail me, then try their best to look nonchalant as I chatted with my fellow smokers........They didn't pass the test, folks. One step above Barney Fife is the grade I'd give them.......I was trying to wear them down and go stalk someone else, I wasn't a threat! That's when I got the pics of the Washington stature and the VSP "changing of the guard". Heard their 5 second op update too, the tails took off guess I wasn't a threat. The op update was crowd calm, some instigators in the open carry area, look for the scraggly goth bearded kids and keffeh scarves (told you so!) be nice and do your jobs. Their CO hung back after they dispersed, thanked him for doing a good job and he said todays' protest was a dream to manage. No arrests no fighting; thanked me for being pleasant to him. Said everyone had thanked him and his men to death for their service and that he agreed with the reason for the protest. Said the scumballs are the ones doing gunplay. Quite the admission from an officer of the state!
Went back to the open carry area, signed various petitions (one to recall Gov. Blackface, one to toss Mark Warner out on his ear, etc.) and there were some vendors around. Picked up an awesome Trump 2020 hat done in woodland digital camo then picked up a Sic Semper Tyrannis T-shirt (just to upset the DC crowd when we go hang out up there). Then I started heading out, as I was going out there was a man preaching on one of the street corners, his megaphone was held by an old man in WW2 style marine full dress uniform. 3 hash marks on the sleeve. I was proud to jaywalk across a busy street (they hadn't shut it down yet) to go up, thank him for his service and shake his hand. He was a bit surprised I think, but a man that old and those hashmarks ( he fought before I was born so we could come and protest today!). I HAD to do it.
Oh, as I was walking up the street to the bus, 2 semis and a Ford F-650 monster pickup comes rolling through the street, blowing air horns, laying on the jake brakes HARD....and US flags from each window. Think if this were held on a saturday they would have had 250K people on site. People pulling up at stoplights as you walk, yelling We support you, thank you for standing up to Gov Northam, etc. That was wild. I'd heard the air horns all morning, they were circling the area all day showing support in a vehicular sort of way. Good looking old split window KW and a Peterbilt, and a flat black F-650 monster pickup. Neat.
Walked up to 9th and Clay street to catch the shuttle bus, watched one Jet Ranger helicopter with a FLIR pod stay motionless for a good 15 minutes (in at least a 20 knot headwind) over the capitol. Had a RC12 King air buzz the downtown area around 9 am or so, the comm relay Pilatus plane circled most of the time I was there too.
They left me alone finally as I headed to the shuttle bus area. Everybody waiting with me was chatting with each other, laughing, enjoying the rally. There was energy in the crowd, lots of it. And above all, unity was 100% against Gov. Blackface and his ludicrous laws. Finally the bus showed up 20 minutes later-FULL- of people coming INTO the rally. Driver got us back to the parking lot area, and there was STILL a line stretching almost to the end of the parking lot. A line of people going INTO the rally area! Thank God they weren't tying up the porta potties; the lines to get into them in the open carry area must have been 40 deep at each one. The parking lot ones were empty, thankfully Mr. teeny weeny bladder got one. Blessed relief!
All in all, a very thought provoking day. And again, thanks to Sacajawea and Ibetiny for getting the messages I sent out. It was a true honor to attend the rally and do the on site reporting for all of you!
Protester Brandon Lewis, who traveled from Buffalo, New York, proudly carrying a Barrett M82 rifle which can be used by the military to shoot down planes at Monday's rally.
Great job to all who attended and all the efforts to provide info. I watched on WKRP Pete Santilli who provided MULTIPLE live feeds- Breitbart, gun owners of Ohio and others. Breitbart was messed with quite heavily. Banned on YT, back up again, sound turned off, back on but muted. More Dirty Tricks. As I was watching, I was trying to read the posts. One of note was Mike Adams and 3 speakers were put on a hit list by ANTIFA (seven hills is Va's group). Why isn't law enforcement doing something about this?? You would have enjoyed the manikin in back with two wrenches hanging around his neck. Throw a wrench or two into the works to mess up the other sides agenda. Love it.
Kessler and the KKK showed up but no problems with them. Biker's for Trump were to attend also.
It was mentioned that Red Flag Laws violate the 1st,2nd,4th and tenth articles.
Santilli was not going to have their info lines shut down. You could text RANGE to50597 and still get info.
Owen Sawyer was on and mentioned a terminator robot was out there??? Not sure what that was?
The one check point was mentioned as a major concern. Not getting in so much as getting out. All things worked out O.K. as you know.
Other talk of being shut down and GPS interference. Facebook freezing up with coverage.
Citizens militia showed up in full battle gear. Others with AR 15 hanging from shoulder. Info wars was shut down also..
Because I had some business to attend to, I had to leave about 9:30. and didn't watch it all. I posted this for NEXT TIME where to watch a feed that WILL NOT be shut down and you will always have a way to get info. Sorry I didn't post the live feed but I am really rushed at present.
Some info on the Gov's recall. Va. citizens will need 405,000 signatures to start a recall. I believe legal teams are being set up. Sounds like it's time to get busy again.
Hope this helps. See prayer works. All worked out O.K.
God is great and prayer does work.
This recall info needs to get out everywhere. What can Trump do as president to remove this unconstitutional governor who is violating his oath of office?
I don’t think it’s in his job description. It’s up to the citizens of Virginia.
Ahead of Monday’s gun-rights rally in Virginia, NBC News reporter Ben Collins labeled the event a “white nationalist” gathering Sunday, even as he warned against spreading “made-up stuff” on Twitter — prompting scores of critics to point out the apparent irony, and to condemn his network for sanctioning Collins’ checkered reporting on the so-called “dystopia beat.”
“Reporters covering tomorrow’s white nationalist rally in Virginia, I’m absolutely begging you: Verify information before you send it out tomorrow, even if it’s a very sensational rumor you heard from a cop,” Collins wrote in his since-deleted tweet. “Don’t become a hero in neo-Nazi propaganda circles with made-up stuff.”
Defending his post from a torrent of criticism, Collins initially argued that federal law enforcement had arrested six suspected Neo-Nazis in advance of the rally in states including Georgia, Maryland and Delaware, with some of the suspects apparently intending to travel to the Richmond rally.
Collins also remarked that there has been an “enormous amount of 4chan and Qanon chatter,” appropriating intelligence-community lingo to describe online communications from conspiracy groups and troll websites.
Now, we’ve covered The Base members’ arrests. I’m not going to lie, these people scare the hell out of me and I want nothing to do with them or their warped perception of both race and the world in general. After several hours, Collins deleted his original tweet, writing in a seemingly peppy message: “Hi everybody! I’m deleting a tweet so I can be super clear about tomorrow’s rally in Virginia. The Lobby Day protest is and has traditionally been a gun rights rally, but white nationalists, including militant group The Base, have been planning violent action at the event.”
Of course, it’s possible that I’m overly sensitive on this topic. I’m tired of being labeled a racist because I happen to think every American regardless of race has a right to protect themselves.Thousands of gun owners, many of them armed and some members of out-of-state militias and hate groups, plan to descend on Richmond on Monday amid a fierce battle over Virginia’s gun laws.
Satire yes, but I'd be willing to bet they really were praying for violence and had their talking points already written up.Babylon Bee is of course a satire site.
Ah, but effective satire has its foundation in truth.

Bad law can be reversed in the next legislative session. Not sure I would hold my breath thow.I hope you're right. But the commies don't care, they can come in, do the damage and leave. That's what I'm waiting for, what trash is left behind.

We are all thankful that today passed without incident. The teams successfully de-escalated what could have been a volatile situation. I will continue to listen to the voices of Virginians, and will do everything in my power to keep our Commonwealth safe. https://www.governor.virginia.gov/newsroom/all-releases/2020/january/headline-851013-en.html …

Yes, I feel the same way! I am still ticked off. I am a long time listener of Rush, always enjoyed his show, think he is a very intelligent guy, and always respected his opinion, and usually agreed with him. Did not care when he had his head up Bush ass.Yes, thank you for bringing it up. I was driving today listening to Rush as always hoping to hear some feedback. It was crickets today with most radio I listen to.
Rush merely mentioned it maybe once with no discussion or updates. It reassured me about him, he's all about himself and what puts money in his pocket. He even back peddled when Trump was campaigning for president after he got caught making comments negative to Trumps supporters.
It'll be interesting what Hannity says tonight. One thing for sure, the right wing media had an opportunity to capitalize on shedding some positive light on the 2nd and supporters of it. I strongly feel this was a huge missed opportunity.
Something just didn't smell right
Sadly the Trump I voted for is not the Trump of today. It appears to me that THEY have gotten to him. His hands are full right now with the impeachment and I read some where that there was an attempt to poison him. These two things alone are enough to compel him to get in line or else. I don't have behind the scenes info but I do notice a change in him.God is great and prayer does work.

But from the beginning of Va, not one peep, zero, zilch, nada. As you say, a HUGE missed opportunity. PERFECT time to bash commiecrats, but nothing!!!
I know he is a showman, but daamn! I have heard him go on & on & on & on about football, cigars, Apple, etc, etc, but he cannot even mention it ? I don't expect him to go get in front of the crowd wearing camo waving the Gadsen flag. And on impeachment, which admittedly is a huge topic & truck load of BS, he has beat that to death !!!! How many more times can he repeat the same lines ??
But the 2A issue is huge, not only for me, but I suspect a great many of his audience !! Without it, there would be NO BILL OF RIGHTS !!!
Either Rush ( and his mini me vannity ) are controlled opposition, and someone is pulling their reins and they are told to avoid the topic,
OR
They are Sunshine Conservatives
I am sorry, but as far as I am concerned, by avoiding the subject, they pissed in their listeners faces, and pissed in the conservsative American bowl !!!
I will continue to listen for a few days to see what they do. What they do will determine if I continue to listen, or if I just listen to music !
You need your head examined. It appears to me that THEY have gotten to him.
Now, Now. they be just a noob and quite a brave keyboard warriorYou need your head examined.
Got home this morning about 5am after the all nite train ride back home from Richmond. Writing this from my laptop because trying to get anything out on the phone was about impossible due to my fat frozen fingers trying to work an android keypad and phone issues due to the cold weather.
Thanks, a HUGE tip of the Chief's helmet to Alfaman, Sacajawea and others for what they did yesterday. Alfaman, I couldn't get near the access to the penned in area by the time I got on site about 20 after 10, the crush of bodies was just way too thick to get near it. Every cross street leading to the Capitol area, running off of main street, was jammed shoulder to shoulder with people, cross streets were jammed solid. The only way you could move anywhere was to get back to main street, walk away from the capitol for a few blocks and then work up the hill towards East Broad Street, where you could turn right and walk behind the Capitol area down towards old 14th street and back to bank street and east main street, ALL the streets bordered by those streets were jammed packed with patriots.
I saw a few antifa types in the mix, not many at all. A lot of press of course. Interviews were going on everywhere and it didn't seem to be contained to just the "tactic-cool" types but a cross section of people. Long guns of course, were everywhere. I'm sure just about everybody else was concealed carrying, the winter clothing making it easy to conceal. Instead of a "rifle behind every blade of grass" I'd say it was a "Rifle behind every brick" kind of day. I did mention that group I saw, of three guys who just didn't look right. I was going to grab a cop and say something but there were so many others right next to these 3 guys that if I think they even tried to do something stupid they would have become part of the pavement in short order. A good cross section of people of all types, Male, female, white, black and every other race was there. A rainbow "don't tread on me" flag was there. You HAVE to love that. If a piece of paper hit the ground, it was picked up immediately. The "guns save lives" stickers were hard to get off the ground though, once they hit the bricks you had to really scrape em up.
This truly was a "happening with guns" The air was filled with "excuse me's, pardon me's, sorry for bumping you". as people moved around, No anger seen, no impatience. It WAS hard to find an open place to get food or coffee, a lot of places were closed due to the holiday. Those that were open had LONG lines to get in and out. Again, no impatience that I could see. I wish I could have heard the speakers, but it was about impossible between the less than stellar sound system and the pulsing of helicoptor blades overhead. With the exception of police on the capitol grounds, who seemed to want to make sure that those of us on the surrounding roads saw them on the high ground, the rest of the police was just basically trying to stay warm.
The crowd began to break up about noontime or so as the speeches came to an end. I worked my way back towards the area called shockoe bottom to find an open restaurant but couldn't find any except for buffalo wild wings and I was NOT going in there due to their no guns policy. I did see a couple of restaurants on the way down there but they had the no guns signs in the windows so I figured I'd not spend my cash there. The train station was closed except to Amtrak customers and megabus customers but i had my ticket so I could use the bathrooms there and stay warm. I did find a restaurant open called station 2 that is up main street from the station, on the other side of it. I've eaten there before, it's in a renovated fire station with great burgers. I walked back from there, to the train station to wait the couple of hours for the northbound train to CT. Nice comfortable waiting rooms on the 2nd floor, comfortable chairs and couches. and nice and warm to boot. The only fly in the ointment for me, the whole day, was the jackwagon that stole my phone charger during the stop at Trenton NJ on the way home. , I must have been dozing and missed it. I hope that guy gets a terminal case of hemmoroids.
January 20, 2020 was a day that will live, at least in Virginia, in patriotic lore. It had the potential to be the day of "the second shot heard round the world". but it wasn't, not in that way. It was a day that the citizens of Virginia, backed by citizens of our country who answered the call from sea to shining sea, to stand with their brothers and sisters, told their inept, cowardly governor and his minions to go pound sand. It was a day of love, of defiance in the face of threats, of courage in the face of possible danger. It was a day that the sleeping giant stirred, picked up his head and looked tyranny right in the eye, and spat in it. It was a day that the sleeping giant said "This is just an attention getter, start mending your ways or you will see us again, maybe in not such a friendly mood" It was a day that Northham, despite his bravado and bullshit, felt the breath of justice on his neck, and it made him tremble.
It was a day, that I will remember with pride, for the rest of my days on this earth. A day were America came together, hung out with each other, bolstered each other and stood for something. It was a day that makes me see, we are not finished yet, not by a long shot.
Thank you God, for keeping us safe. Please, continue to guide and strengthen us in the days going forward
