I don't think I can overstate just how important it is, that not one more inch of "infringement" occur. It matters more, than even who's president - altho I doubt I could abide any Dem in that office right at this moment. Not buying Obama's attempts to distance himself from the current crop of candidates, either.

If we can "fight" in the "battlespace" of getting reality out to more people sans a narrative and it's barely disguised agenda, we HAVE to... and still, it's prudent to be ready for what reality will be if that fails to get this bunch of UNAmericans to back off.

Thank you Merciful Father for bringing our friends home safe. Where You dwell, there can never be tyranny.

I'm not very good at prayers out loud. If somebody wanted to pick this up and add their words I wouldn't mind.

Why? That'll do just fine.

So much for the evil, racist, bitter-clinger gun nuts of Richmond!

Photographs taken at today's demonstration against Second Amendment restrictions in Richmond, Virginia. All are sourced from various Web sites, and have been posted multiple times, so I don't know their origin. If anyone took them and wants them removed, or a copyright acknowledgment, I'll be glad to comply.

And did you notice how much of the left-wing mainstream media went dead silent on the subject, as soon as it became clear that the protesters were basically decent, law-abiding citizens protesting legislative overreach? They wanted to blare banner headlines about racists and white nationalists - few, if any of whom made an appearance. Only Fox News covered the protest in any detail, for which kudos to them.

The Virginia crisis: where's the evidence of wrongdoing?

I'm obliged to Daily Timewaster for posting this video comment on the lead-up to today's protest in Richmond, Virginia. The author makes some very good points.

He's right. If a crime has been committed, or the authorities know that a crime is being planned, arrest those responsible and charge them. Don't penalize the entire citizenry of a state for the alleged - but so far unproven - plans, crimes or motivations of a few. That's not how the rule of law works . . . but then, in Virginia today, one questions how seriously the rule of law is being taken by the powers that be. After all, they're changing those laws as fast as they can, so that yesterday's law-abiding citizen is about to be made into a criminal by the stroke of a legislative pen, rather than anything he or she has actually done.

It's not about the rule of law. It's about the rule of ideology, and the imposition of the views of the ideologically "pure" upon those they see as the "bitter clinger" citizens of their state.

That's a recipe for disaster, right there.

Has No Life - Lives on TB
Folks, home safe and semi warm now. I wanted to thank everyone on TB2K for the honor or serving as an unofficial news source for the TB2K family. It was an important day for Virginia and potentially for the entire country, and each of us, whether virtually or actually, can say "we were there".

I wanted to especially thank Ibetiny and Sacajawea for posting the pics and text info I sent. I know I drove yall crazy but your efforts are sincerely appreciated. The text and pic relay worked from looking at this thread, and worked well. AWESOME!

Thought I'd share some thoughts of the day with yall.

Got to the diamond (VCDL's shuttle service ran from there) about 630. Parking lot was packed already with vehicles from a variety of states. And the lines for the shuttle buses ran from one end of that parking lot alllllllwwwwwaaaaayyyyyy down to the other side. The crowd was super friendly, people offering gloves to those who didn't have them, people giving out water, etc. VERY family friendly atmosphere (with guns!). I would have had ZERO problems taking the missus to this event with this type of crowd if she didn't have to work today.
The shuttle buses were extremely nice and the driver rocked. He was toting too! He dropped us off at 9th and Clay streets, as we got off he made sure to point how to get to the capitol (3 blocks away, and most of one block was Richmond PD it looked like). VERY safe. In one of the lots was a mobile cell tower truck (read-Stingray). Marked with AT&T on the outside, had a gen set running and think people were inside as well. Federal level surveillance methinks.
Got to the site, guns guns guns EVERYWHERE. It was awesome, and not one fruitcake making an a** of themselves with them either. Antifa WAS in the crowd, young kids with no guns scraggly beards and keffeh scarves almost to a man. Stuck out like sore thumbs and didn't interact with the crowd. Everybody else was talking with each other, chatting, laughing, comparing guns and just in general having a good time.
I was outside the fence for a while, took pics but one thing I saw almost made this GA redneck harda** bust into tears. It was the pic of the flag promoting the preservation of Confederate monuments. My family fought to preserve their freedoms; here I was almost 130 years later essentially doing the same thing. I told the flag holder how much I appreciated his flag, and talked about my family in the battle of New Hope, Kennesaw Mountain, Kingston, etc. Flagman was a street philosopher; he told me freedom was in my blood and I honor my ancestors and their memory by being there. Mr. Cold Fish redneck almost started balling at that; I'd thought a bit that way but he put it out there for all to see and then topped it with "God bless you" and a man hug. Whoa.
Regained my composure and made my way up the street to go inside the kill box. Walked a block, passing a wild variety of signage (hope the pics were ok) and throngs of peaceful, pleasant committed and polite!!! people. Ever passed through a crowd and people push and jostle you? Not here, the folks were "Excuse me" and " hey there" and hello! . Like the entire crowd took an IV bag of camomile tea before they came in. Southern manners on display folks, such a refreshing change from the DC swamp!

Anyway, got to the metal detectors. 17 of them, a stack of riots shields were stacked off to one side (and unused). VA state police (VSP) ran the entry point. Polite to a fault but VERY thorough. Dropped my fanny pack on the table, my medic alert bracelet, my Blackberry (All pics I sent today were done by Blackberry Passport, shameless plug :). Told the officer I had stents in my heart and they sometimes set off the detectors. He calmly and slowly!! (even though there were crowds) mentioned if I "went off" the officer would wand me. Went through with no problems; but had to wait an additional 5 minutes to get the fanny pack back. They didn't empty it but every single nook and cranny of it was searched and thoroughly too.
Had a sealed pack of Marlboros (Yes I cheated today, thought an E cigarette would have caused more problems.) The lighter did not, the officer said I could pick it up on the way back, said there were folks around inside with matches I could get a light from (hmm, think about that intel gathering technique.........). I went and bummed lights from people already smoking (because officers generally DON"T smoke. Think about that). Met some freaking wonderful people that way; had chats with each of them. Pleasant as could be.

Went up to the top of the hill at the capitol, took pics of some signs and headed down to the bottom of the kill box (and snipers were up and around the capitol, supreme court building and think one was on top of the US court of appeals too).
Got to the fence and saw Alex Jones screaming over the megaphone to the crowd (he sounded like Kermit the Frog!) But passionate and if he'd given an order to storm the gates the entire crowd would have followed him!) He shouted a chant of lock Gov Northam up, everyone did and dummy me says don't just lock him up, string him up! As loud as I could, then did my finest proper rebel yell...... People around me agreed, except for the tail I picked up. Older, grey haired, wearing Carhartts coat and looked like pants too. Scruff of a beard too. Saw his eyes as I turned around, he was 20 feet away and staring straight at me. Stuck around and chatted with the cute and very sweet German tv reporter (1ZDF was there, and she was getting an education. I mentioned "Ich bin Freddy Schenck" (famous character from the German crime TV series Tatort) and her face lit up with a 50,000 watt smile. Neat TV show, think of a German version of Law and Order. Been on their TV since 1970!!!
We chatted for a while off camera, she was utterly amazed there were so many weapons there yet nobody was violent or shooting or throwing stuff. I told her America is a very friendly place but when rights are infringed we protest and fight. Told her our rights are hard fought for and cherished like precious metals. People were describing the announcers on the stage in the open carry zone, the reason for the guns, the rights, etc. I hope she got a great story today, she was a joy to talk to. Did I mention she was cute?

After talking with her I started moving; so did tail man. AND as I moved picked up a tail woman. Dressed too lightly for the event, think both were local or state level cops. They converged and I took off. Hard to do I had a bright yellow safety coat on. So I took off, asked one man for a light and found he'd driven down from Alexandria too, enjoyed the chat and kept going up the hill. It was comic seeing them tail me, then try their best to look nonchalant as I chatted with my fellow smokers........They didn't pass the test, folks. One step above Barney Fife is the grade I'd give them.......I was trying to wear them down and go stalk someone else, I wasn't a threat! That's when I got the pics of the Washington stature and the VSP "changing of the guard". Heard their 5 second op update too, the tails took off guess I wasn't a threat. The op update was crowd calm, some instigators in the open carry area, look for the scraggly goth bearded kids and keffeh scarves (told you so!) be nice and do your jobs. Their CO hung back after they dispersed, thanked him for doing a good job and he said todays' protest was a dream to manage. No arrests no fighting; thanked me for being pleasant to him. Said everyone had thanked him and his men to death for their service and that he agreed with the reason for the protest. Said the scumballs are the ones doing gunplay. Quite the admission from an officer of the state!

Went back to the open carry area, signed various petitions (one to recall Gov. Blackface, one to toss Mark Warner out on his ear, etc.) and there were some vendors around. Picked up an awesome Trump 2020 hat done in woodland digital camo then picked up a Sic Semper Tyrannis T-shirt (just to upset the DC crowd when we go hang out up there). Then I started heading out, as I was going out there was a man preaching on one of the street corners, his megaphone was held by an old man in WW2 style marine full dress uniform. 3 hash marks on the sleeve. I was proud to jaywalk across a busy street (they hadn't shut it down yet) to go up, thank him for his service and shake his hand. He was a bit surprised I think, but a man that old and those hashmarks ( he fought before I was born so we could come and protest today!). I HAD to do it.
Oh, as I was walking up the street to the bus, 2 semis and a Ford F-650 monster pickup comes rolling through the street, blowing air horns, laying on the jake brakes HARD....and US flags from each window. Think if this were held on a saturday they would have had 250K people on site. People pulling up at stoplights as you walk, yelling We support you, thank you for standing up to Gov Northam, etc. That was wild. I'd heard the air horns all morning, they were circling the area all day showing support in a vehicular sort of way. Good looking old split window KW and a Peterbilt, and a flat black F-650 monster pickup. Neat.
Walked up to 9th and Clay street to catch the shuttle bus, watched one Jet Ranger helicopter with a FLIR pod stay motionless for a good 15 minutes (in at least a 20 knot headwind) over the capitol. Had a RC12 King air buzz the downtown area around 9 am or so, the comm relay Pilatus plane circled most of the time I was there too.
They left me alone finally as I headed to the shuttle bus area. Everybody waiting with me was chatting with each other, laughing, enjoying the rally. There was energy in the crowd, lots of it. And above all, unity was 100% against Gov. Blackface and his ludicrous laws. Finally the bus showed up 20 minutes later-FULL- of people coming INTO the rally. Driver got us back to the parking lot area, and there was STILL a line stretching almost to the end of the parking lot. A line of people going INTO the rally area! Thank God they weren't tying up the porta potties; the lines to get into them in the open carry area must have been 40 deep at each one. The parking lot ones were empty, thankfully Mr. teeny weeny bladder got one. Blessed relief!

All in all, a very thought provoking day. And again, thanks to Sacajawea and Ibetiny for getting the messages I sent out. It was a true honor to attend the rally and do the on site reporting for all of you!
AM, a big THANK YOU for your time & effort !!!!

Great job to all who attended and all the efforts to provide info. I watched on WKRP Pete Santilli who provided MULTIPLE live feeds- Breitbart, gun owners of Ohio and others. Breitbart was messed with quite heavily. Banned on YT, back up again, sound turned off, back on but muted. More Dirty Tricks. As I was watching, I was trying to read the posts. One of note was Mike Adams and 3 speakers were put on a hit list by ANTIFA (seven hills is Va's group). Why isn't law enforcement doing something about this?? You would have enjoyed the manikin in back with two wrenches hanging around his neck. Throw a wrench or two into the works to mess up the other sides agenda. Love it.

Kessler and the KKK showed up but no problems with them. Biker's for Trump were to attend also.

It was mentioned that Red Flag Laws violate the 1st,2nd,4th and tenth articles.

Santilli was not going to have their info lines shut down. You could text RANGE to50597 and still get info.
Owen Sawyer was on and mentioned a terminator robot was out there??? Not sure what that was?

The one check point was mentioned as a major concern. Not getting in so much as getting out. All things worked out O.K. as you know.

Other talk of being shut down and GPS interference. Facebook freezing up with coverage.

Citizens militia showed up in full battle gear. Others with AR 15 hanging from shoulder. Info wars was shut down also..

Because I had some business to attend to, I had to leave about 9:30. and didn't watch it all. I posted this for NEXT TIME where to watch a feed that WILL NOT be shut down and you will always have a way to get info. Sorry I didn't post the live feed but I am really rushed at present.

Some info on the Gov's recall. Va. citizens will need 405,000 signatures to start a recall. I believe legal teams are being set up. Sounds like it's time to get busy again.

Hope this helps. See prayer works. All worked out O.K.

Protester Brandon Lewis, who traveled from Buffalo, New York, proudly carrying a Barrett M82 rifle which can be used by the military to shoot down planes at Monday's rally.

Why would the military want to shoot down planes at the rally? Honestly puzzled. :strs:

[yes, that was sarcasm]

This recall info needs to get out everywhere. What can Trump do as president to remove this unconstitutional governor who is violating his oath of office?

Great job by all you guys and the rest of American Patriots that was there!

All the live streams that I saw showed nothing of the gated entrance or anything real, just a bunch of actors walking in circles. Nothing to show the rest of the world how it's done.

Some thing tells me that they had plans to make trouble but decided against it. Can't imagine why.

I don’t think it’s in his job description. It’s up to the citizens of Virginia.

I conclude this was a win for the good guys, in at least 3 ways:
1. Looks like all deployed and deported themselves with awareness and self-discipline, such that antifaux et. al. could not achieve what that side of darkness clearly WANTED to do.
2. The calm deportment was such that the msm could not spin it into anything else.
3. The order and discipline of this large unofficial group displayed clearly, for lack of a better phrase, 'unit cohesion'. Why does this matter? It's easy for some lone keyboard commando, in what he thinks is anonymity, to type, 'when they pry it from my cold dead hands'. It is, then, equally easy for some junior JBT to imagine isolating that fellow with little trouble and effort.

It is another thing altogether to observe that sentiment radiating, without a word, from tens of thousands of serious, determined people. Which is to say, visible proof that going against them would be costly. I expect many of those who would be called upon to attempt seizures were watching today. I bet many of them are starting to have serious second thoughts about becoming cannon fodder.

Media Reminds Gun Owners What They Really Think Of Us
Posted at 12:00 pm on January 20, 2020 by Tom Knighton

Media Reminds Gun Owners What They Really Think Of Us

The media is not our friend. We all know that, of course, but it’s important to be reminded from time to time just how much they absolutely despise us.

Lobby Day in Richmond is an annual occurrence. It’s a thing that happens regularly anyway. Yet with the push for gun control by Governor Ralph Northam and the clown troop that passes for a legislature calling the shots, gun owners felt obliged to make it a point to be present.

Unfortunately, as science fiction author Larry Niven once wrote, “No cause is so noble that it won’t attract fuggheads.” Ours is certainly not exempt. Some fuggheads have decided to try and attach themselves to our community.

We can say we don’t want them, and we have, but that doesn’t mean they won’t still try and latch on.

It’s a problem any movement is going to have, unfortunately.
The bigger problem, though, is the media latching onto that and making damn sure everyone paints us with the exact same brush.

Let’s start with NBC News’ Ben Collins, for example.
Ahead of Monday’s gun-rights rally in Virginia, NBC News reporter Ben Collins labeled the event a “white nationalist” gathering Sunday, even as he warned against spreading “made-up stuff” on Twitter — prompting scores of critics to point out the apparent irony, and to condemn his network for sanctioning Collins’ checkered reporting on the so-called “dystopia beat.”
“Reporters covering tomorrow’s white nationalist rally in Virginia, I’m absolutely begging you: Verify information before you send it out tomorrow, even if it’s a very sensational rumor you heard from a cop,” Collins wrote in his since-deleted tweet. “Don’t become a hero in neo-Nazi propaganda circles with made-up stuff.”
Defending his post from a torrent of criticism, Collins initially argued that federal law enforcement had arrested six suspected Neo-Nazis in advance of the rally in states including Georgia, Maryland and Delaware, with some of the suspects apparently intending to travel to the Richmond rally.
Collins also remarked that there has been an “enormous amount of 4chan and Qanon chatter,” appropriating intelligence-community lingo to describe online communications from conspiracy groups and troll websites.
After several hours, Collins deleted his original tweet, writing in a seemingly peppy message: “Hi everybody! I’m deleting a tweet so I can be super clear about tomorrow’s rally in Virginia. The Lobby Day protest is and has traditionally been a gun rights rally, but white nationalists, including militant group The Base, have been planning violent action at the event.”
Now, we’ve covered The Base members’ arrests. I’m not going to lie, these people scare the hell out of me and I want nothing to do with them or their warped perception of both race and the world in general.

The same is true of most gun rights advocates, truth be told.
Of course, if it was just Collins, it wouldn’t be that big of a deal. Oh, I’d probably write up a story about it, slap him around for a bit because of it, and then go about my day.

But it’s not. It’s not just one person, but a push by the media in general to paint all of us as having some close ties with white supremacists.

For example, the Daily Mail uses this headline: “Richmond on high alert as white supremacists, a ‘no-compromise’ gun lobby and anti-government groups head to Virginia pro firearms rally – but militia leader insists ‘we aren’t a threat’”

By leading with “white supremacists,” the Mail is able to imply that the lion’s share of attendees are racists. They know a lot of people read and share stories with only a cursory inspection of the post, if that, so why put that in the lead unless you wanted to give that impression?

At least USA Today waited until the first paragraph to paint us all as racist.
Thousands of gun owners, many of them armed and some members of out-of-state militias and hate groups, plan to descend on Richmond on Monday amid a fierce battle over Virginia’s gun laws.
Of course, it’s possible that I’m overly sensitive on this topic. I’m tired of being labeled a racist because I happen to think every American regardless of race has a right to protect themselves.
On the other hand, though, the truth is that we continue to see our numbers listed along with these people as if we’re somehow fellow travelers. We’re not. I absolutely despise everything these people stand for when it comes to race, to say nothing on a whole litany of other issues. I honestly don’t care if they support gun rights, their other views are so abhorrent that I want nothing to do with them.

However, I should note that not all of the media is trying to spin things with their headlines or opening.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch did things a little differently. Their headline reads: “As gun-rights supporters plan peaceful rally in Richmond, state warns extremists could pose threat.”
That’s far more reflective of the reality than what we’ve seen from others in the media.

At the heart of this, though, is the fact that these people hate us. They despise us and they will do whatever they can to make us look bad. They’re the propaganda arm of Brady and Giffords in all but name.

It’s also why it’s imperative that we remember this and take steps not to give them anything they can use against us. Watch your step so that you don’t feed the beast trying to help take our rights away.

Media Offers Thoughts And Prayers That Someone Would Start Some Violence At Gun Rights Rally

January 20th, 2020

U.S.—Somber members of the press offered their thoughts and prayers that someone would start some violence at the gun rights rally in Virginia today.

Reporters expressed their grief and condolences as the violence they hyped has so far failed to materialize.

"Nobody has so much as fired a shot. This is an unbelievable tragedy," said one teary-eyed MSNBC reporter, clearly caught up in the anguish of the moment. "It's tragic that we live in a country where reporters who are just minding their own business trying to push a narrative can have everything ripped away from them in an instant when protesters refuse to shoot at people."

A CBS News reporter called for a moment of silence live on the air. "Let's all take a minute and cry out to a non-specific deity of our choice that any second now, a miraculous shooting would occur." When it did not occur, she began weeping and gnashing her teeth before ripping her suit jacket in despair. "WHY, GOD, WHY!?!"

One CNN reporter has offered up to $1,000 for anyone who will start some violence to help out the narrative.

Alfaman, so delighted you were in there today and representing TB2K in spirit. Everyone in there who surrendered their right to conceal carry and go stand in that pen were saints!!! And meanwhile riff raff America showed in the last 24 hrs they *cannot behave* with even ONE illegal hand gun by going on shooting sprees in bars in San Antonio, Kansas City, Honolulu to undermine your rightful law abiding assembly. There were hundreds of peacetied weapons on display in Richmond and not one shot fired in anger. Fabulous role modeling. Breitbart's stream was continuously broke, turned out Ruptly had the best steady crowd feed and got to see a vast cross section, plenty of African Americans in Guns Save Lives stickers on too.

Best feel good day for white middle aged males in a very very long time. What a triumph and you got to be there to make history. Both Jeff Rense and Clyde Lewis are devoting programs on their radio shows tonight to Richmond. Rense has Mike Wade's slide show here The Richmond VA Pro-Gun Second Amendment Rally

I love this one, which shows the seniority and wisdom of the elders inside that fenceline

all of you, Gray Champions to the core.

So... How do you "DE-escalate" something that NEVER escalated???

Democrat Gov. Ralph Northam suggested that the security decisions made regarding the Virginia Capitol grounds “de-escalated” a situation, even though no escalation preceded it.

Gov. Ralph Northam made his comments after the January 20, 2020, Second Amendment rally concluded without incident.

Northam tweeted, “We are all thankful that today passed without incident. The teams successfully de-escalated what could have been a volatile situation.”

The peaceful rally followed days of gun control groups, elected officials, and establishment media talking heads warning about extremist and/or racial undertones in relation to the rally and the Second Amendment Sanctuary movement.

Northam himself warned of “violent rhetoric” days before the rally occurred and went so far as to declare a “state of emergency” and suspend the exercise of Second Amendment rights on Capitol grounds. Yet no emergency arose, no violence, no mass arrests.

19K people are talking about this

But Northam is proud of the steps taken under the “state of emergency” declaration, and he promises to continue working to provide safety for Virginians.

He tweeted, “I will continue to listen to the voices of Virginians, and will do everything in my power to keep our Commonwealth safe.”

Northam did not say whether pro-Second Amendment Virginians are among those to whom he will listen.

Ah, brave Sir Northam, he personally commanded the forces of the state to defeat the evil racist rebels and prevented the lynching of even a single person of color. Oh Brave Sir Northam.... What is next? Wait, what are you going to do with that pointy stick?

Yes, thank you for bringing it up. I was driving today listening to Rush as always hoping to hear some feedback. It was crickets today with most radio I listen to.

Rush merely mentioned it maybe once with no discussion or updates. It reassured me about him, he's all about himself and what puts money in his pocket. He even back peddled when Trump was campaigning for president after he got caught making comments negative to Trumps supporters.

It'll be interesting what Hannity says tonight. One thing for sure, the right wing media had an opportunity to capitalize on shedding some positive light on the 2nd and supporters of it. I strongly feel this was a huge missed opportunity.

Something just didn't smell right
Yes, I feel the same way! I am still ticked off. I am a long time listener of Rush, always enjoyed his show, think he is a very intelligent guy, and always respected his opinion, and usually agreed with him. Did not care when he had his head up Bush ass.

But from the beginning of Va, not one peep, zero, zilch, nada. As you say, a HUGE missed opportunity. PERFECT time to bash commiecrats, but nothing!!!
:ld:
I know he is a showman, but daamn! I have heard him go on & on & on & on about football, cigars, Apple, etc, etc, but he cannot even mention it ? I don't expect him to go get in front of the crowd wearing camo waving the Gadsen flag. And on impeachment, which admittedly is a huge topic & truck load of BS, he has beat that to death !!!! How many more times can he repeat the same lines ??

But the 2A issue is huge, not only for me, but I suspect a great many of his audience !! Without it, there would be NO BILL OF RIGHTS !!!

Either Rush ( and his mini me vannity ) are controlled opposition, and someone is pulling their reins and they are told to avoid the topic,

OR

They are Sunshine Conservatives

I am sorry, but as far as I am concerned, by avoiding the subject, they pissed in their listeners faces, and pissed in the conservsative American bowl !!!

I will continue to listen for a few days to see what they do. What they do will determine if I continue to listen, or if I just listen to music !

Sadly the Trump I voted for is not the Trump of today. It appears to me that THEY have gotten to him. His hands are full right now with the impeachment and I read some where that there was an attempt to poison him. These two things alone are enough to compel him to get in line or else. I don't have behind the scenes info but I do notice a change in him.

Rush is very wealthy; I imagine that like most of the wealthy he is anti gun. He is also smart enough to realize he has to keep his mouth shut about it.

but I’m not much of a Rush listener, so others may know better.

Rush's news site has sent out many pro 2A news stories the last few days through Fb. However, you're right he's very quiet about 2A confrontations on air.

Got home this morning about 5am after the all nite train ride back home from Richmond. Writing this from my laptop because trying to get anything out on the phone was about impossible due to my fat frozen fingers trying to work an android keypad and phone issues due to the cold weather.

Thanks, a HUGE tip of the Chief's helmet to Alfaman, Sacajawea and others for what they did yesterday. Alfaman, I couldn't get near the access to the penned in area by the time I got on site about 20 after 10, the crush of bodies was just way too thick to get near it. Every cross street leading to the Capitol area, running off of main street, was jammed shoulder to shoulder with people, cross streets were jammed solid. The only way you could move anywhere was to get back to main street, walk away from the capitol for a few blocks and then work up the hill towards East Broad Street, where you could turn right and walk behind the Capitol area down towards old 14th street and back to bank street and east main street, ALL the streets bordered by those streets were jammed packed with patriots.

I saw a few antifa types in the mix, not many at all. A lot of press of course. Interviews were going on everywhere and it didn't seem to be contained to just the "tactic-cool" types but a cross section of people. Long guns of course, were everywhere. I'm sure just about everybody else was concealed carrying, the winter clothing making it easy to conceal. Instead of a "rifle behind every blade of grass" I'd say it was a "Rifle behind every brick" kind of day. I did mention that group I saw, of three guys who just didn't look right. I was going to grab a cop and say something but there were so many others right next to these 3 guys that if I think they even tried to do something stupid they would have become part of the pavement in short order. A good cross section of people of all types, Male, female, white, black and every other race was there. A rainbow "don't tread on me" flag was there. You HAVE to love that. If a piece of paper hit the ground, it was picked up immediately. The "guns save lives" stickers were hard to get off the ground though, once they hit the bricks you had to really scrape em up.

This truly was a "happening with guns" The air was filled with "excuse me's, pardon me's, sorry for bumping you". as people moved around, No anger seen, no impatience. It WAS hard to find an open place to get food or coffee, a lot of places were closed due to the holiday. Those that were open had LONG lines to get in and out. Again, no impatience that I could see. I wish I could have heard the speakers, but it was about impossible between the less than stellar sound system and the pulsing of helicoptor blades overhead. With the exception of police on the capitol grounds, who seemed to want to make sure that those of us on the surrounding roads saw them on the high ground, the rest of the police was just basically trying to stay warm.

The crowd began to break up about noontime or so as the speeches came to an end. I worked my way back towards the area called shockoe bottom to find an open restaurant but couldn't find any except for buffalo wild wings and I was NOT going in there due to their no guns policy. I did see a couple of restaurants on the way down there but they had the no guns signs in the windows so I figured I'd not spend my cash there. The train station was closed except to Amtrak customers and megabus customers but i had my ticket so I could use the bathrooms there and stay warm. I did find a restaurant open called station 2 that is up main street from the station, on the other side of it. I've eaten there before, it's in a renovated fire station with great burgers. I walked back from there, to the train station to wait the couple of hours for the northbound train to CT. Nice comfortable waiting rooms on the 2nd floor, comfortable chairs and couches. and nice and warm to boot. The only fly in the ointment for me, the whole day, was the jackwagon that stole my phone charger during the stop at Trenton NJ on the way home. , I must have been dozing and missed it. I hope that guy gets a terminal case of hemmoroids.

January 20, 2020 was a day that will live, at least in Virginia, in patriotic lore. It had the potential to be the day of "the second shot heard round the world". but it wasn't, not in that way. It was a day that the citizens of Virginia, backed by citizens of our country who answered the call from sea to shining sea, to stand with their brothers and sisters, told their inept, cowardly governor and his minions to go pound sand. It was a day of love, of defiance in the face of threats, of courage in the face of possible danger. It was a day that the sleeping giant stirred, picked up his head and looked tyranny right in the eye, and spat in it. It was a day that the sleeping giant said "This is just an attention getter, start mending your ways or you will see us again, maybe in not such a friendly mood" It was a day that Northham, despite his bravado and bullshit, felt the breath of justice on his neck, and it made him tremble.

It was a day, that I will remember with pride, for the rest of my days on this earth. A day were America came together, hung out with each other, bolstered each other and stood for something. It was a day that makes me see, we are not finished yet, not by a long shot.

Thank you God, for keeping us safe. Please, continue to guide and strengthen us in the days going forward

I sincerely hope the lunatics in Virginia and the rest of the country got that friendly message but I sadly say that I am not at all optimistic.

Thank you for having hoden sufficient to represent millions.

Great followup everyone and excellent report from outside Northam's Pen. CTChief, glad you were there and bore witness to the historic day too. Got home safe and sound. Shame about your charger. *shakes my cyber katana at that thief*

This is the problem right here and who Northam is pandering to. And their group: Virginia Moms Demand Action. They are driving ALL of this, the laundry list of bills that the legislature is rushing to his desk. NoVa suburban moms.

They are enemies of our Constitution and of all legal and lawfully abiding gunowners.

Northam got a taste on his front doorstep at the Governor's Mansion of what to expect. And any scams to try to throw firecrackers and create stampedes outside the wire that day by riff raff skulkers was thwarted precisely because WHITE HAT patriots showed up, fully armed for contact sport were on patrol outside the fence. Thus the peaceful redress of grievance could be made.

They didn't dare try anything or face instant justice.

It is absurd it has devolved to this state that men must drop everything and drive hundreds of miles to stand shoulder to shoulder so their brothers under siege by a nannystate of out of control women, can exercise their 1st and 2nd but here we are.

Know your enemy. And be sure to knock 3 times on a pillar of the statehouse if you ever go to Richmond as a tourist. Though that's in peril if the situation continues to deteriorate.

I hadn't even considered that, but its the truth . . . if memory serves weren't the vast majority of these bills put forth by women?

GOD BLESS YOU CTFIREBATTCHIEF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for going through both hell AND high water to come make your voice heard. it was an amazing day; it's going to be the first shot heard (or shall I say not heard, no gunfire!) around the state, the nation and the world. Thank you for hiking halfway down the east coast to attend the rally.
Wasn't it amazing that there were literally thousands of people, heavily armed at that and not one gun related incident happened? That was the nice thing about it. Although I do fear the next event/protest WILL involve violence. The rally yesterday was a juicy plum for Antifa and other groups to go into and turn into another Charlottesville (as Gov. Blackface sincerely hoped would have happened during this rally. That bastard declared a state of emergency HOPING for violence to strengthen his point and help grease his gun grab laws through.75,000 armed mice didn't raise up to the bait...)

And wasn't it pleasant, truly pleasant mingling with the crowds? What you saw there was southern manners on display-from everybody there whether they were black white asian, gay etc. Real southern politeness and respect wafted through that crowd like ganja at a dead concert. Made me kinda homesick actually.

But, should someone have started shooting or violence you would have been in the middle of 75K human Rotweilers just itching to "bite" the bad guys. Our governor Blackface says he's from VA, but he has forgotten one simple tenet to living peacefully in the south. And that is, don't EVER piss off a southern redneck unless you're armed to the teeth and brought along a case or two or three of whoop a**. He forgot that, yesterday showed him the folly of his ways. The Antifa punks were in the crowd, scraggly beards, unkept appearance (hygiene seems to be an abstract concept to them) and the ones I saw (and the ones the VSP co mentioned to his guys during the "changing of the guard" pic I shot) almost to a man were wearing the Arab keffeh (?) scarves on their necks. Which incidentally make great head coverings when need be.

And we were literally in a kill box inside that fence around the capitol. There was a reason there were all the cops up in that area (and snipers on all sides pointing into the area). If someone was going to lay down fire that sloping hill would have become a shooting gallery. Nowhere to hide, nowhere to run literally. I used "party manners" there. Stick around for a minute or two, then "move on to the next guest". The unarmed version of shoot and scoot, otherwise if someone had opened fire there it would have been a massacre. I almost didn't care though. Had the feeling all day long of being protected, kind of a warm blanket of peacefulness. I woke up feeling that way yesterday. No doubt the prayers offered up here by the rest of the TB2K family was our level 3 body armor. No doubt in my mind at all. Prayer is an incredibly powerful weapon against evil and our family had us prayered/covered from head to toe. A good feeling!

There was a pretty interesting undercover presence there as well. Spotted out quite a few, moreso in the kill box where I actually picked up two of them (read my after action report a page or two back). They were itching to take down bad guys yesterday; thinking the bad guys were going to be us. Guess we were kind of a let down to them. "Sooo sorry!" in my best Chinese voice :)

Thank you for supporting us in this event, You are a minuteman who rushed to our aid in time of need. It is an honor to fight alongside you. If we had trouble there and ended up "in the sh**" your help and dedication would have made all the difference in the world.
