Not really concerned and I have plenty of food. I think I can skip grocery shopping this coming month, except for a couple of things and that's it. Walmart has been out of the gallon bottles of spring water that I get for almost a week. I usually buy two bottles every grocery shop, I have quite a few in the she shed. Are any of you concerned over possible lockdowns and/or mandatory vaxes this Fall? Any special prepping?

I also get two cases every time I shop. Because of our water system issues bottled water is getting snapped up like crazy. I don't get the largest cases anymore because they are too heavy for us to pick up. Takes two people to carry one of the larger cases. Thanks, Judy, for reminding me to put more cases of bottled water on my list. Can't forget water! I've gone through 2 cases without replacing already.

And speaking of water, we finally got rain last night, seemed like a good down pour. And its much cooler today. Its getting time for the weather to start changing but back to 100 next week. Temps like that will draw in the hurricanes.
I do the same thing. Right now i've reduced my list to almost nothing. Less money at the grocery more money for the stash. I'm still trying to replace what I spent on the generators.I take stuff off and then add to it. Back and forth

One of the things I needed to stock up on was Liquid IV. It's one of the few electrolyte powders that is safe for him. And of those few, the only one where we can get straight electrolyte powder. They sell immune and energy boosters as well but they are the only company that has just electrolyte powders that are safe for him.
And for Labor Day weekend they are doing 30% off. That is a deep discount sale for them. So I stocked up for son. I could have gotten the larger Costco/Sam's Club packs but they've only had lemon lime for the past 6 months. And while he'll drink that, he's not real fond of it.
This was an unexpected opportunity that I'm glad I was able to take advantage of.
And tomorrow we pick up a bulk order that has meats and other items that are safe for him, and the pantry needs a refill on those items.
I haven't seen anything that I'm interested in so far. But then, I'm still working yard and garden improvements that should last for a good long while. Hopefully until I can't garden any longer.I was hoping to see a sales catalogue in the mail from Sam's, since Labor Day is coming up. Sam's just doesn't have sales like they once did. When they do, it's just junk food stuff and vitamins for the most part.
Of these we don't buy milk, eggs, cereal and dog treats, so that saves us money, oh and Dh is a tetotaler so we don't buy wine and through the years I've lost a desire to drink much of anything, another money savings. I do have some hard liquors in the pantry if they are ever needed. I buy more frozen produce than fresh and not much cheese, DH likes American for a sandwich (yuck) and I pretty much eat cheese sticks. Unfortunately Sherree, our diet is not as interesting as yours. Most of my cooking DH doesn't like and I eat a lot of stir fries. So frozen meat and veggies go a long way for me.Milk, eggs, yogurt, cheeses, butter, fresh produce, replacements for the pantry, cereal, and dog treats are my basics for food items. I also restock our wine
I've had some energy today and am working on shoveling out the kitchen, again. Poor Dh has had junk food today, toaster pastries for breakfast, cheese, salami and crackers for lunch and frozen pizza for dinner. None of this added to the piles I'm clearing out in the kitchen. I found some beef sausage in one of the freezers and cooked a piece of it for me, it would be too spicey for DH. I'll chop some of it up later with veggies for me.

We get boxed milk and powdered milk in commodities so I've only purchased whole boxed milk for the pantry. Rarely even use it. I only buy butter from time to time.
The dog gets a lot of left overs and she's happy with that. She's a good dog and loves our goats.
