ok,
I'm not the handiest with tools - just basic house repairs and putting bikes together for kids type things.
Assuming gas shoots to $5/gallon, a small wave of terrorist attacks and an economic meltdown...
what would be the basic mechanical skillls and tools needed for urban/suburban survival?
Do i learn to fix bicycles or motorcycles when people start dumping their SUVs?
if electricity gets unreliable, should I plan on getting a small solar rig and learn soldering/welding, etc?
ham radio for comms?
not everybody can move to the country and start small farms.
appreciate any ideas people can throw at me.
