Farm Where would I look t hire someone to Till?

My walk Behind rototiller needs a new carb and cables due to a minor fire.

New place has one area that I wamt to Till. No idea who to even talk to to just hire someone to do it.

Bout half a football field so maybe five passes with the plow. No rocks or anything, soil is good but looks to need some amending.

I can try. Craigslist seems to have issues with this general area as if it does not exist. I have to look at places an hour away or it takes me to commiefornia.

nextdoor app it is in your neighborhood,
facebook app look for the local buy sell trade groups or neighborhood groups.
feed store
farm and ranch store
hardware store
tractor supply maybe
landscape co.
local newspaper you pickup at restaurants
Western Auto or whatever local shops work on tractors.

Put up a note in the most likely of the above that has a bulletin board and ask.

BTW, unless you are tilling to grow a big garden,

you might just get a riding mower,
pull the deck as high as it goes, and go slow
watching for obstacles and big holes.

Nextdoor? Well, kindo got banned from them in my last AO. Tried to redo here but there seems to be no way to set a new account since it's toed to my phone. Political thing. :lol:

Big crop field on one side of me-met the guys who rent the field and asked him, told me they were about to come plow and he'd be happy to do my small area. Couple of weeks passed and the plow came in, did their field and went home, probly different guys doing stuff and he forgot to mention it to the Plowing guy.

I will keep checking. Looking at having my tiller rerpaired or DIYing it so that is on the table.

Still need raised beds for one area-bout the same size but longer and thinner-also where the gas and water lines run for the hose/barn so not willing to plow it up-too many chances to cut something.

I don't have nextdoor on my phone. You can set up an account using a computer. Might try that.

Well, after determining there is four to six inches of pea gravel and likely larger stone under the entire field I think I am going to go raised-bed, Lasagna gardening or whatever since tilling may not be practical.
