We have been discussing aspects of this over the last several weeks. Either we have predictions of economic collapse, loss of freedom, etc.
So my question to all is as follows:
How do you see things going with the next President during their term?
I for one, no matter who the next President is after Trump, see a drastic loss in freedoms. Particularly, gun rights, free speech and property rights, and financial rights.
There is a question in my mind of how fast we will lose them, but do expect all will go bad within 8 years after Trump.
For example, though there will be no gun confiscations, there will be new laws that will either force us to give them us or go to jail.
We will experience a significant down turn in our economy. I do see banks failing, much higher taxes, and harsher controls on our ability to handle our money.
New laws will be passed on a regular basis that will restrict our ability to say anything that is considered " hate speech" for a better word for it. In essence, you won't be able to speak out against the government or politically connected.
We will be forced in to "annuities" as part of a payroll deduction so that we "have enough" to retire upon.
Our savings over a specific amount whether or not it is an IRA, 401k or mutual fund will be taken if not in fact, will be in name through regulations that force certain activities that are government approved.
We will all but lose the ability to handle or use cash due to "security" issues and we will be forced to route almost all activities through banks, for a fee of course.
I am not sure if we will see actual violence by the more conservative side, but we will for sure see a great deal of violence from the left and almost all of it will be government approved.
Lastly, I see a return and an increase of the use of the government agencies to "punish" or modify behavior to be more in line with what the government approves. This of course would mean that people who do things in violation of the law that are government approved would not be prosecuted, but those who oppose such action would be in jail or suffer financial ruin.
What do you think will happen and how soon?
