We caught a report that mentioned he supposedly targeted places his "ex( girl friend) " worked at.Does anyone know why he targeted the bowling alley and restaurant? I mean, was this a hangout of his? Were any of the victims friends or enemies?
Edited because my computer decided to yell and misspell.
$2000 thermal scope, tooThe rifle was a Ruger SFAR, AR carbine size and weight but chambered in 7.62 NATO. Newspaper article posted above, says he did his shopping while it was legal.

Couldn't find ex-girlfriend so WTH, I'll just shoot children and innocent bystanders. ✓We caught a report that mentioned he supposedly targeted places his "ex( girl friend) " worked at.
Now, as to how true that is, well that's anybody's guess
There was also a story that those were the places that he was hearing voices and or people talking about him behind his back.Does anyone know why he targeted the bowling alley and restaurant? I mean, was this a hangout of his? Were any of the victims friends or enemies?

I have not seen a source for that. And thermal is for low/no light, not inside a lighted building.
I remember word on the police scanner that night and supposedly someone who knew him in law enforcement passed on the scope info to the dispatcher. I don’t recall there being any other details. This was when the man called in and said he heard a bang behind his building and they all rushed over. Up the road from the boat ramp.I have not seen a source for that. start at post 751 and read at least to post 756.According to the Daily Mail, the Maine shooter was found dead in the woods with 2 gunshots to the head...not sure how that's possible as a self-inflicted...
Odd how that is so. Like how they are trying to frame a narrative...So, has the ex-girlfriend ever been interviewed? I haven’t read anything about her.
It happens more than you think. The person is either very drunk or drugged and places pistol in mouth but does not place it to hit the cranium. Round goes out the side of the mouth not to mention blow back. Immediately corrects problem and places gun to cranium. Successful suicide on that attempt. Medical Examiner will call that two head wounds. It is when you find two to back of the head that you have to look a little deeper.According to the Daily Mail, the Maine shooter was found dead in the woods with 2 gunshots to the head...not sure how that's possible as a self-inflicted...
My heart hurts for everyone involved. There is nothing easy about this. I can't imagine how my family would feel if this happened with one of ours.I live only 30 miles from the incident. One example of how our small-town environment here works: Today seeing lots of FB posts reminding everyone that the shooter’s family is also suffering their loss. They tried to notify authorities in the days prior, plus did lots to try to bring him in after it happened (texting him begging surrender, provided plenty of info to help find him).
Yup. If you are going to do it, at least do it right. It happens more than you think. The person is either very drunk or drugged and places pistol in mouth but does not place it to hit the cranium. Or maybe, she's trying to live her life and they didn't find anything she did wrong, except maybe dating a psycho.Odd how that is so. Like how they are trying to frame a narrative...
OK. WHAT WERE THEY SUPPOSED TO DO?!JUST IN: Police visited Maine gunman's home SIX WEEKS before massacre after he told doctors he was going to 'SNAP AND COMMIT a mass shooting.'
Law enforcement chiefs in Maine issued an awareness alert for Robert Card, a U.S. Army reservist, in September after threats were made.
Despite visits and increased patrols, Card remained elusive.
During a welfare check, it was noted that he typically answered the door with a concealed handgun.

If gun sales went up because of this maybe lives will be saved in the future that would not have otherwise.THIS IS AMERICA: As Authorities Searched for Mass Murderer Robert Card, Gun Sales Spiked 200% in Maine
Gun sales in and around Lewiston, Maine surged by more than 200% following the tragic mass shooting that resulted in the loss of 18 lives and left over a dozen individuals injured.
Even with a shelter-in-place order enforced in Lewiston, Maine, community members pleaded with local gun shop owners to open their doors.
Based on information from Fox Business, Ryan Gagnon, a co-owner at 3 Cousins Firearms in Lewiston, mentioned, “Our sales were up, I’d say, over 200% compared to a regular Friday.”
Another gun shop owner, Tony Lewis, said that he did more business after the mass shooting than he did during the entire month.
Lewis went on to clarify why Maine residents were rushing to purchase guns, stating: “People are scared… So they want to make sure they can protect themselves.”
As reported by Fox Business:
Gun sales in the Lewiston, Maine, area spiked as much as 200% after Wednesday’s mass shooting that claimed at least 18 lives and injured 13 more, one store owner said.
“We were swamped yesterday,” Ryan Gagnon, co-owner of 3 Cousins Firearms in Lewiston and a Navy veteran, told Fox News Digital Saturday morning. “Our sales were up, I would say, over 200% compared to a typical Friday.”
They didn’t plan to open their store because of the shelter-in-place order that turned the city into a ghost town reminiscent of the COVID shutdowns. But Gagnon, whose shop about half a mile from one of the crime scenes, said they received so many messages and Facebook messages that they felt like they had to open the shop.
According to a 2022 report from Pew Research, 47% of Maine residents own guns.

Authorities reported before Bowden made the threat, he was seen in the Palmyra Walmart’s parking lot on a nightly basis. An 18-year-old man was arrested after posing outside Walmart with a rifle and ammunition in a social media post that threatened “Lewiston part two,” authorities said Tuesday.
Michael Bowden, of Etna, posed in a Snapchat photo taken Sunday with a .308-caliber Savage bolt-action rifle and ammunition in his lap, Somerset County sheriff’s Chief Deputy Mike Mitchell said.
After sending the photo to an employee of the Walmart store in Palmyra, Bowden threatened in a text to commit “Lewiston part two,” in reference to last week’s mass shootings at two Lewiston businesses that left 18 dead and others wounded.
“He took a picture of himself in a vehicle in the Walmart parking lot, and in that picture you can see a gun — a hunting rifle,” Mitchell said. “You can also see a bullet in his lap.”

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, before Card’s mugshot was released, several users on X jumped the gun and claimed Robert Card was a sex offender.Deranged Maine mass shooter Robert Card had repeatedly claimed he could hear voices in his head calling him a “pedophile” and was paranoid that people were “casing” his home in the months before he massacred 18 people, police reports obtained by The Post show.
The 40-year-old gunman’s family were among the first to alert authorities about his erratic behavior after he started verbally lashing out at them and once opened the door to them brandishing a gun, according to at least two Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office incident reports.
Card — who, according to his relatives, had been drinking heavily in the lead-up to last week’s mass shooting in Lewiston — had become so paranoid that people were calling him a pedophile that he’d talked about wanting to hire a lawyer.
The Maine National Guard, too, had become so concerned about the US Army reservist that it had urged local authorities to carry out a welfare check because fellow soldiers feared Card would “snap and commit a mass shooting.”
