This is a comment from a UK article about the Wuhan Virology lab -
"The virus did not escape from the lab. The guards who were in charge of disposing the dead animals that were tested in the lab sold them to the owner of the seafood restaurant. The owner himself got infected as well."

The cynical side of me hopes this is true....that lessens the likelyhood that ther rich and famous have a vaccine. The black death in Europe freed the serfs from their feudal lords....I wouldn't mind seeing Pelosi and Schumer and all of Hollywood face down in a ditch.

I have not really paid attention to this until today. When was the last time we saw a shut down of several cities with millions in populations,( Disney alone never shuts down), senators have a meeting with CDC people, airport screenings are back on at all major airports, and the President has a small press briefing on a disease that is listed as 800 infected and 26 deaths. That is where we are at right now with this.
And this started showing up in mid December? All those Asian kids went home for the college break and just came back last week.
Either the reported numbers are bogus or it is a escaped lab virus and they are trying to keep a lid on It.
this seriously is reading like a typical end time book, or whole countries are wayyyy over reacting.

Don't forget the duct tape. Not sure how to use it in the case of the coronavirus, except for with the plastic sheeting, but I'm sure some innovative person here can come up with something. :D

This result also warns that patients are easily ignored by themselves due to the absence of fever and respiratory symptoms. Because patients are also infectious during the incubation period, the infectivity will increase before and after the onset of the disease, so this type of "atypical" patients will also be very important hidden infection sources, which need to strengthen self-isolation.

How many times have we heard our officials saying the patients possibly affected didn't have any noticeable flu symptoms, yet had contact with others individuals they are not willing to chase down until after the results come back positive for Coronavirus?

Yes. We know that it is IN our areas, or could be, or will be. Givens, imho. Now is the window to assess our readiness, our local areas' and monitor and ferret out, whats occurring...

In reading all this, one thing I can’t get my head around. How did they keep 10 thousand dead people quiet. I mean in what appears to be a month or so that’s a lot of dead people to hide. Further all these videos and the 10 k number shows up within days of the story breaking. And not a peep before.

The translation - from the responses on Twitter - says there are over 90,000 cases of the coronavirus there. And one person exposed will have the ability to infect 14 more people. She said their supplies are running low. She is encouraging her friends and family to stay inside - don't go out for any of the celebrations and don't go out to eat. She also has said that the virus has already mutated.

Some people are calling this a hoax - the fellow from the feed seems to be taking it very seriously. Some people have mistranslated and said that she is saying 90,000 dead - but the majority of those translating are saying 90,000 infected.

Well we know its mutated, thats what the virus does. Has anyone seen the demographics of the folks in the point of origin?

During the live discussion from Serpentza youtube he referred back to previous ‘filming’s’ from wet market and how unsanitary they are and you never know the source of the animals.

Guards trying to earn couple extra on the side with test animals they are supposed to dispose of from a brand new controlled facility actually seems just simple and a societal fit to be possible source.

Also even after the flu had started and in a town with confirmed cases the gubmint bigwigs thought a town dinner where everyone ‘shared’ food servings was just what their peep’s needed.

I'd laugh if the situation wasn't so tragic. I don't trust the numbers coming out of China. Trying to extrapolate demographic information from questionable data? Is that even worth the effort? We may have to wait for numbers from reliable sources outside China to come in.

Here is a rah rah rah article on the outbreak from the China People's Daily-the official newspaper of the Chinese Communist party. Note the positive tone of the article and the utter lack of usable info for their citizens.

For the ChiComs to restrict movements on the Lunar new year weekend; that says nothing to most but speaks volumes to me. The infection is out of control in China and they're trying desperately to contain the spread. But, as we all know it's a case of too little too late. Depending on how this coronavirus mutates, within 6 months or less it could be in epidemic proportions in every populated place in the world.

I remember seeing a computer sim of an avian flu outbreak some years back. Started with 2 cases in mainland China; with no restrictions on travel at that point. By day 113, the entire planet was infected. Think about that!

Chinese people stand united against pneumonia outbreak
(People's Daily Online) 15:29, January 23, 2020
Central China's Wuhan battle with a pneumonia outbreak continued with the announcement that it was closing its airport and railway stations, as well as short distance ferries and long-distance coaches starting from 10 a.m., Jan. 23, while asking citizens not to leave the city without a good reason to do so.
The message, released at midnight, sent a clear signal that Wuhan is adopting more detailed, in-depth and concrete measures to prevent the epidemic from spreading further.
The prevention and control of infectious diseases is a complicated process, and the special measures taken right now make sense. These special measures mean the daily lives of citizens in Wuhan will unavoidably be affected, and everyone playing a role in the battle against the pneumonia outbreak deserves our greatest respect.
The special measures cannot be taken without faith that the government will serve the people wholeheartedly. Responding to the reasonable demands of the people and minimizing the unfavorable factors brought by the emergency measures are also urgent matters.
It is a test for China’s governance system and capability, as no city in the country would be able to just stand by and watch.
The rapid expansion of the epidemic has created challenges for some regions, so it’s especially urgent to guarantee the storage and supply of drugs and sterilization equipment. China, as the world’s factory, does not lack a production force, and filling the current supply gaps is not a difficult matter. We call on the relevant parties to “put the pedal to the floor” to guarantee production, and urge every city in the country to offer mutual assistance to get through the challenge.
Wuhan, hang in there! You have the support of all people across the country. The more difficult the situation is, the more united the Chinese people are. This has been constantly proven by both history and reality.

A third case confirmed in Bordeaux, France. Of course my husband is flying to France on Sun. :( Really hope the trip is cancelled.
"A third case of coronavirus in China has been detected in France, the health ministry announced on Friday evening. This case, "close relative of one of the cases, which was being investigated, has just been confirmed," according to a statement. The three had stayed in China and are hospitalized in Bordeaux and Paris, with "isolated" measures."

One of the commenters also translated her words.

Native speaker here: I affirm what has been spoken about 90000 people got infected and virus have mutated. She repeatedly told whoever watched this video to stay in home and not go anywhere else. Also, the virus has mutated and there is no known systematic way to the new virus.

Still id like to know what mix of ages are supposed to live there in case its a markedly young or old group...
Let me go out on a limb, just spitballing here...

I guess demographics at the point of origin would have high concentration of Han Chinese...

Lol i just wanna know if they tend to run young, old, or some mix of ages.

Thank you adgal- scary as hel if true.
If this is true, then the Chinese would have some information as to its nature though testing on animals is not the same as spreading & mutating in a human environment, unless of course they tested it on prisoners which I suspect is not beyond the Chinese doing. This in turn could be behind the quarantining of cities.

What doesn't jive with this UK article statement is that despite the hype, thus far the number of infected and dead is miniscule if the official numbers are evenly remotely correct, or off by a factor of a thousand for that matter. An easily contagious virus would see an exponential growth rate, and a highly lethal virus would see bodies piling up at an exponential rate. Thus far we have seen neither, and it would be all but impossible to hide.

Is this "Chinese-speak" for - they are laying down their lives for the greater good?

And again-
R_0 = 3.8 (95% CI ,3.6-4.0)
So 3 people who traveled from China...sat on at least one plane for hours after going through check-in and security screening, stood in baggage claim passing people connecting all over the world, (probably) took public transport, etc. Makes me glad we recently got another case of tuna and a big bag or rice.

Well this morning I gave a quiet tip to a Harbor Freight clerk he might want to stock up his store for an increase in disposables sales in the next week or so. We shall see how long a shipment of chinese made gloves and masks and rolls of plastic take to get here from china now.
I bought the only three 50 count boxes of dust masks they had. No N-95 or higher were in the store.

Not "Chinese-speak" per se. More like the communist party extolling its' virtues while people are dying. Oh, and they have some factory cranking out extra hero of the revolution medals to be handed out. Posthumously.
