I am so nauseated by the never-ending stale sour fermented rotten political brew that I'll thrilled all the crap is off Main but still grouped together in all its garbage mash if one feels a need to wade in there.

Lived long enough that all the rhetoric is just repeats of the same old same old endless lies and false promises and grandiose ideas that never become reality.

Blech! Now off to read reviews of Spore, a new game that may be a pleasant diversion from all the garbage.

Wow - more major news on a McCain bounce to lead in the polls....This is actually news.
This is amazing considering the momentum that Obama had....His fantasy fire is going out and the fence sitters are going to move to McCain or Paul. They will be embarrassed that they ever entertained an Obama vote...

Taking ALL political threads off the main is really nonsense and lazy. The mods can use as Dennis's list as a model for what to watch for... If the mods don't want to waste their time deciding on what's newsworthy or not - then just keep the political threads on the main and move them in 48 hours - or to TIO if they get nasty.

I find it fascinating that the yanking of Political threads came right after McCain gained momentum.... We put up with a bazillion Pro-Obama threads throughout the summer...
I'm not a McCain supporter....but I want to watch what's happening with everyone running. Not the fluff - just the facts.

I actually found the political threads interesting.

This is a very dynamic election process that is very unique in our history.

A lot has already happened and I expect a number of new revelations before it is all over.

The Old Media is dying a fitful death and boards like this have more and better info than the MSM.

The reason we left the political threads on Main for as long as we did is BECAUSE it's such an historic election cycle. Last go-round, I think we started moving them 4-6 months before the election. This time, it's only TWO MONTHS prior.

And some o' you guys are acting like they're being deleted. Hell, CLICK THE DAMN LINK AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE and it takes you to that room, where you can read/post/flail at each other all you want. No problem.

Would it be possible to have that policy out where members can make better decisions on what is POL and what is news?

It seems to me all the members and staff that don't want any political threads on the main are ron paul supporters...

I really don't care what you move. I will though be alot less likely to post over there in ATP...

I'm kind of at a loss too.

The Democrat and Republican Conventions were the most watched...ever.

The general population seems keenly aware of the importance of the upcoming election.

Why not let the posts live on the main for a longer period of time. If members don't feel a particular post is worthy of input, the post will fall-off page 1 pretty quickly anyway. A kind of built-in self-perpetuating edit system.
