He was a good interview too, I think he answered when told MSM reporters were saying "most of the people attending are white" replied with:

"Most of the people in the US are White, so it is what it is man,"

And then went on to explain how the proposed legislation would also impact the poor and black communities but that it was a Constitutional issue etc - again another very well-spoken person.

I've got a couple websites open on my computer but tb2k is the only one lagging. Even typing here, I can type out an entire sentence before it shows up onscreen.
Same here.

I believe the cause is there is an open livestream running on post 84... NOT just a link, but the actual video is livestreaming. That has to be part of the cause for the lag here.

Thousands rally in Virginia’s capital for gun rights

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Thousands of gun-rights activists — some brandishing their military-style rifles — crowded the streets surrounding Virginia’s Capitol building Monday to protest plans by the state’s Democratic leadership to pass gun-control legislation.
Gov. Ralph Northam declared a temporary state of emergency days ahead of the rally, banning all weapons, including guns, from the event on Capitol Square. The expected participation of fringe militia groups and white supremacists raised fears the state could again see the type of violence that exploded at a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville in 2017.

The Richmond protesters, who were mostly white and male, came out in strong numbers Monday despite the chilly temperature to send a message to legislators, they said.
“The government doesn’t run us, we run the government,” said Kem Regik, a 20-year-old private security officer from northern Virginia who brought a white flag with a picture of a rifle captioned, “Come and take it.”
Northam was a particular focus of the protester’s wrath. One poster showed his face superimposed on Adolph Hitler’s body.
Many of the protesters wore camouflage. Some waved flags with messages of support for President Donald Trump.
Trump, in turn, tweeted support for their goals.

“The Democrat Party in the Great Commonwealth of Virginia are working hard to take away your 2nd Amendment rights,” he tweeted. “This is just the beginning. Don’t let it happen, VOTE REPUBLICAN in 2020!
The Virginia State Police, the Virginia Capitol Police and the Richmond Police had a strong presence, with officers deploying on rooftops, others patrolling in cars and on bicycles. In contrast to Charlottesville, there was little sign of any counterprotesters challenging the gun-rights activists.

Police limited access to Capitol Square to only one entrance and have warned rally-goers they may have to wait hours to get past security screening.
Authorities were looking to avoid a repeat of the violence that erupted in 2017 in Charlottesville during one of the largest gatherings of white supremacists and other far-right groups in a decade. Attendees brawled with counterprotesters, and an avowed white supremacist drove his car into a crowd, killing a woman and injuring dozens more. Law enforcement officials faced scathing criticism for what both the white supremacist groups and anti-racism protesters said was a passive response.

An RV festooned with Trump material and selling Trump merchandise parked in front of the line to the square, but was booted by a police officer shortly after it parked Monday: “You got two minutes before it’s towed. Clock’s ticking.”
As the crowd on the street grew, advocates also filled the hallways of the building that houses lawmakers’ offices. One couple, Jared and Marie March, traveled from Floyd County, over three hours west of Richmond, to meet with lawmakers.
“Guns are a way of life where we live,” said Marie March, who was concerned about a proposed red-flag law which she said would allow citizens to be stripped of their guns due to “subjective criteria.” A proposal to establish universal background checks amounted to “more Big Brother,” she said. “”We just feel like we need to push government back into their rightful spot.”
Monday’s rally was organized by an influential grassroots gun-rights group, the Virginia Citizens Defense League. The group holds a yearly rally at the Capitol, typically a low-key event with a few hundred gun enthusiasts listening to speeches from a handful of ambitious Republican lawmakers. But this year, many more were expected. Second Amendment groups have identified the state as a rallying point for the fight against what they see as a national erosion of gun rights.

The pushback against proposed new gun restrictions began immediately after Democrats won majorities in both the state Senate and House of Delegates in November. Much of the opposition has focused on a proposed assault weapons ban.

Virginia Democrats are also backing bills limiting handgun purchases to once a month, implementing universal background checks on gun purchases, allowing localities to ban guns in public buildings, parks and other areas, and a red flag bill that would allow authorities to temporarily take guns away from anyone deemed to be dangerous to themselves or others.

Jesse Lambert was dressed in mix of Colonial-era minute-man garb and cargo pants, with a Colt rifle strapped across his back. He said he traveled from Louisiana to show opposition to the gun control bills. He said their efforts would unfairly punish law-abiding gun owners, particularly those who own AR-Style rifles.

“These are your average common people carrying firearms that are in common use,” he said.

The rally coincides with the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, which is typically a chance for everyday citizens to use a day off work to lobby their legislators. However, the threat of violence largely kept other groups away from the Capitol, including gun control groups that hold an annual vigil for victims of gun violence.

When that event was canceled, students from March for Our Lives, the movement launched after 17 were killed at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida in 2018, decided they had to do something.

A group of about 15 college students and one high schooler came to Richmond on Sunday and slept overnight in the offices of two Democratic lawmakers to ensure they could make it into the Capitol area safely. Del. Dan Helmer, who’s sponsoring a bill that would block the National Rifle Association from operating an indoor gun range at its headquarters, and Del. Chris Hurst, a gun control advocate whose TV journalist girlfriend was killed in an on-air shooting in 2015, camped out alongside them.

The students planned to spend the day lobbying.

Michael McCabe, a 17-year-old high school senior from northern Virginia, said he started lobbying at the General Assembly after the Sandy Hook mass shooting, when he was 11 years old.

In an interview in Helmer’s office, McCabe said the students wanted to be a voice for other gun-control advocates.

“Our main goal is not to engage with gun extremists today,” McCabe said. “We are really here to be present in the legislature to make our voices heard.”

Well, it looks as though this will end peacefully and both sides will be upset. The commies will be upset because they didn't get the violence they were hoping for to continue their lockdown of the country. The Patriots will be upset because the bill(s) will still be passed and signed and the VA citizens will just be f*cked.

Good luck.

NOT NECESSARILY!
1. we PRAY that it ends peacefully - likely they were unable to pull off a FF because AMERICAN PATRIOTS are awake and aware of their techniques - they were there en masse with multiple recording devices. that very likely put an end to any FF plans. they would have been caught red handed. NO REASONABLE INDIVIDUAL on this side of the fence wanted any violence - simply to present their mass and presence for 2A to the commie scum

2. let them pass their bills - let the STATE POPO that everyone fears arrive - if they dare. if they do begin "adventures in gun grabbing" it will be at their peril - ten men enter two men leave kind of attrition - should the games ever begin in earnest. they were put on notice TODAY that the people of Virginia are fully aware of exactly what SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED actually means.

3. unless this goes ass over teeth before days end I will be counting it a MAJOR WIN for the good guys

4. they may lock down SOME PARTS of the country - but they will NEVER lock it all down. that is a physical logistical impossibility

thus far the LORD has seen fit to answer the prayers of many today - praying that continues through the remainder of this rally - which was NEVER INTENDED to be an ANTIFA BLM style protest in the streets from the git go

Interesting day today so far. Lots of signals in the area buzzing about, and LOTS more people listening in. Quite a few odd signals popping up in the 700MHz band as well as a few ENCRYPTED signals in the 900 ISM band (902-928) (Somebody(s) have some money and Motorola goodness playing encrypted comms (guessing AES@128 at the moment, will play with those later). Already passed 9.7TB of storage recording the fun (my array on the servers is only 28TB, so I can't record at this rate forever). It is keeping two of my Dell 620 servers rather busy with the sampling. There are a LOT of cameras in use, some RF, most not. And the funny moment of the day is that the guys running the 511 cameras seem stuck on the theme of following the Alex Jones truck around no matter how slow it drives by.

Anybody using cell phones in the city, keep your nose clean as there seems to be SEVERAL additional base stations in the area if you know what I mean.

Alex Jones Storms Richmond Rally In 'Battle Tank'

Always the showman, InfoWars founder Alex Jones, the reactionary scourge of liberal Austin, Texas, showed up to Monday's "Lobby Day" anti-gun control rally in Richmond in a battle tank, cruising the streets near the rally with a bullhorn, helping to kick the overall energy level up a few notches.

Some complained that Jones's 'tank' wasn't really a tank, but a souped-up truck. Though that kind of misses the point.

Meanwhile, the crowds spouted off some inventive chants targeting "racist Ralph" Northam, who infamously clung to his office despite an embarrassing scandal involving photos of him wearing black face in an old med school yearbook.

One activist even debuted a petition to recall Northam, the principal player in the Virginia Democrats' gun control push.

There is a petition to recall Democrat Governor Northam at the 2nd amendment rally in Richmond Virginia.

The line is exceptionally long.

Jones has been laying low lately, or at least it seems that way now that Infowars has been banned from practically ever mainstream social media platform, including YouTube. Recently, the mainstream media and the American justice system - which sided against him in a case filed by parents of Sandy Hook shooting victims - seem to have conspired to take him down.
Yet here he is, driving a 'tank' down Richmond's streets, ensuring that he will be impossible to ignore.

Antifa Infiltrator? Gun Rally Goers Turn on Protester Who Suggests Violence
Megan Fox

Rallygoers at the Virginia capital pro-Second Amendment Lobby Day have been on high alert for several days leading up to the event and warning one another that infiltrators from Antifa or other anti-gun groups could be in their crowd posing as pro-gun, but stirring up trouble and violence. An incident occurred at the Richmond rally that has some people wondering if they've just discovered one of these opposition plants. The video below shows a thin man wearing army-style clothing and claiming to be a libertarian while encouraging someone who is speaking to "start a revolution right now" and "hop that fence and kill that guy."

The crowd quickly turns on the man making the violent suggestions and starts loudly telling the cameras that "he's stirring stuff up" and "that's not how we are." The event-goers insist that the rally is a peaceful event and that they are law-abiding citizens, which is in opposition to media coverage of the event that has been predicting armed militia action and a repeat of the Charlottesville disaster. "I think what that guy just said was absurd," said another rallygoer in response to the agitator. "We don't believe in going and killing people. This is a peaceful rally."

The agitator denied that he was trying to stir anything up but another protester replied, "We know what you are. You're an infiltrator. Get the **** out."

It looks like this crowd is going to be policing itself very quickly if this video is any indication.
