I'm wondering if the new sanctions on Iran will cause them to make another retaliatory strike against the US? OR, if they will just stay quiet for awhile, after shooting down this airliner? I can't make myself believe that all this is over and done with.

I haven't been keeping up and am only skimming thru all of this.

I don't even know or remember how many Iranians and Iraquis or their ranks or positions in gov/mil were killed and/or injured in that strike when we took out Soleimani, but it makes a difference.

Soleimani was not buried until after the attack on our bases the other night so, none of it was in revenge of his death. It might have been for a minor player or for those injured or maybe even for the humiliation of the US taking him out, but it was not revenge of Soleimani's death. So, more to come at some future date.

I was hoping it was bluster like claiming they "killed" 50 Americans the other night when they killed no one, but if they start it up again it is on their heads.

I've heard the same thing, and if that is true, then they meant to miss the other night. Now figure out why.

On news Iran is saying they didn't shoot down plan. So the answer is, they did it. They're using "it wasn't me" defense.

Raven, the passenger list always including quite a number of Iranians, it just also had a lot of citizens from other countries - this is really getting tedious, and I think the public announcement that the US thinks the plane was shot down (as do quite a few other countries) is a lot more immediately important.

But even more important is if Iran is starting to lob projectiles at Americans again, that could lead to a re-run of the other day only with a lot larger action by the US.

I've read sources which indicate 3 meters on the low side, to 100 M on the high...
