CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The Cleveland Department of Health confirms emergency crews responded to W. 56 to pick up a possible Ebola patient on Sunday. However, he has tested negative.

Dan Williams, public information officer, says around 12:15 p.m., EMS received a 911 call for West 56th Street. Due to the patient's illness and unclear history, during the 911 call, interrogation decided to have fire first responders clear the scene until EMS arrived.

According to Williams, once the information was received, the arriving EMS crew donned the appropriate personal protective equipment, taking all precautionary measures to utilize proper protocols. The EMS captain was on scene and made contact with the receiving hospital. Contact was also made to the director of Public Health, health epidemiologist, and Safety.

The crew then drove to MetroHealth, where they worked cooperatively with staff to get the patient into the hospital.

After a couple of hours of testing, it was determined the man was not a victim or carrier and there was no further concern.

I looked up the county name and the only one that popped up is in Oregon.

Hey everyone... I am sorry I wasn't able to keep this thread going last week. I was called away at the death of my father. I have been in a fog all week. As I regain my bearings in the normal routine of life I'll get this thread updated. To complicate things further my cousin (my father's niece) died Friday night from a tragic chainsaw accident. Not only has my Aunt had to burry her brother but now she has to burry her daughter. I just don't understand these things sometimes... The week of 10/3 say the passing of Mr. Duncan. RIP.

We don't know (I mean KNOW for certain) he died of ebola. We're told that. We're assured of that. His passing was on the nightly news, so it must be so. But we don't KNOW of what he died; no valid test results, evidence, facts.

In the 6 weeks since then, nothing more in this country. We were almost assured on this forum there'd be a lot more here. Dozens, perhaps hundreds, maybe more. You know, the ever-growing exponential curve. Why, by mid-2015 it would essentially have wiped out a substantial portion of humanity. Ebola was mutating and threatening and becoming essentially unstoppable. Were we told, here, that this was so.

But less than nothing has happened. It hope, and trust, that nothingness will continue.

Perhaps it's time to let this 'epidemic' go. Shall we just let it fade away of it's own lack of validity, as 'it' seems to be doing, anyway?
