WoT Sometimes it hard to tell on here if someone is male or female

I guess it doesn't really matter, but some folks on here I have not been able to figure out which some one is.

I think my sex is pretty obvious since I always sign my name, Judy, at the bottom of my post.

No offense intended but one person I have not been able to figure out is Troke. Sometimes I'm sure Troke is female but then other times I think, no, Troke must be male.

Since I'm pretty sure most folks on here are of two genders, I could be wrong, and I don't really care as long as that person is decent and sincere and not trying to shove their potential difference down my throat.

Oh well, just food for thought and a few giggles.

God is good, all the time.

Judy
A mind is neither male nor female. What does influence a mind at certain times is the body's hormones.

My sister's name is Karen...and she is a pissed off Karen. My other sister's name is Kathy...and she is a crazy evil beeotch. And I do mean evil so much so none of her siblings will allow her within the same state as the rest of us. Some times wonder what's in a name.

INTJ.....I'm also married to an INTJ.....best match ever. Don't have to explain or justify myself....ever....she actually gets me. Well....most of the time.

INTJ's generally don't give two figs what other people do, as long as they don't interfere with our own intense, private internal world.

Feel free to make a mess of things, and if we like you, we will probably rescue you when all else fails. ;) Maybe even if we don't like you. But we WILL laugh at you for the rest of our days.

Myers-Briggs labels have gotten a lot of mileage through the years since it was first sprung on us. The interesting thing was that - until I'd gone through another "battery" of psychopathic ummm I mean psychological profiling - I didn't realize that the M-B was not only describing personality type, but also an indicator of how one tended to function in their work. I guess that's one of the reasons is was so popular. It was an effective tool when we were building operational teams and needed to ramp up the learning curve as quickly as possible to get past the barriers so teams functioned properly. (and real boats rock, never forget that!)

For instance, IIRC I was labelled as an ESTJ but the second instrument a few years later showed me why I needed alone time to recharge. It was because my job required me to function as an extrovert and to make quick, logical decisions (troubleshooting oil/gas wells and doing investigations and stuff) but I am actually wired as mildly introverted, so there's times when I need to get away and do nothing but consider life in general. Or something. Seems as if the second series of tests showed that I was somewhat more INFP in some ways than the original M-B showed. :eye: So now I just dunno. It all depends.

Male BTW in case it's not obvious. (INFP pops up: but is it ever obvious?)

Take this test. Be honest about it. It will assign a letter code to you.
INTJs are about the rarest group, and yet almost half (?) of the females here are INTJ.

I helps explain quirks in your personality. I wish I had been given it in 5th grade. Life
would have been easier, or at least more understandable.

Be sure to come back and tell us what your are!

I'm in no way making a suggestion, but I've been on other discussion forums in the past that identified each member as male or female in their avatar.

After reading through this thread, I've realized that some members who I thought were male are actually female, lol!

I am definitely an INFJ, my mind is more female in keeping with the gender, BUT I find I have a lot of traditional male traits within my being. I'm one of those women who treasures men (unless they are being a jerk). I find them fascinating. Too bad I never found a soul mate, just wasn't meant to be.

Remember back in the day, when you were a girl, but you hunted, fished, played football, rode horses. Wasn't into dolls and whatnot. You were a tomboy. I almost hesitate. But tomboys back then were nothing like the messed up minds of this day and age. Thats what I've always been clean up to helping roof houses but can be a real Lady when need be. Its come in handy being able to do rough neck things when no man around.

Girls can be nicknamed Mike y'know.

Actually, I had a friend in college her name was Michael, her parents named her that deliberately hoping that she'd go far in life, compared to someone named Michelle. She did, she has a PhD in Art History and Fine Art Restoration and last I heard she was working at the Smithsonian restoring some rather expensive paintings. Now I don't know if this is because she was named Michael or not, lol, her former pro football player husband is a hunk though.

I guess it doesn't really matter, but some folks on here I have not been able to figure out which some one is.

A tool that rarely fails me for telling who is a woman and who is male on the Internet: just propose that expected outcomes for males and females in certain common situations be reversed. That is, that women start having to register for the draft instead of men, serve 40% longer prison sentences than men for the same crime, get child custody/child support/alimony at 1/10th of the frequency/amounts that men do, get moved to the bottom of college admission/scholarship/job hiring/promotion lists so as to put men at the top (reversing 50 years of sex-based affirmative action), are now considered automatically guilty (but no longer the men) in any DV case, that any dropped or proven false accusation of a sex crime automatically brings the same penalty as committing the crime would, etc. No woman, no matter how conservative, will agree to all those. Many to most men will.

You're welcome.

Definitely female and grouchy, not to mention aging. Wish I was still 30, but my 70 year old bod says nope (frequently). Also grandmother to 5.

Boy do I miss the days of being able to be a tomboy and it was totally acceptable. Liked nothing more than climbing trees, riding my bicycle with my friends all day, playing flag football (with the boys of course) knowing I could run faster than they could.

Knew a fellow officer, female, named Michael. Many years ago, about 25 or so, she was commissioned into the Infantry-someone had the not illogical thought that the box marked 'female' was incorrect.

Well, as a 65yr old man a size 44 "Double A" might fit nicely, but I'm not inclined.

My Surname puts me at the bottom of an Alphabetical lists, so I want name something like
the Plumber do to get their company name near the top of any list like .... "AA Plumbing"
I just settled on "Double_A"

Damm it, I'm now going to have that Monte Python song in my head - I'm a lumberjack. If you know, you know - google the song lyrics

Having a last name that begins with "A" also puts you at the top of the list for bad things, as well as good things.

Experienced I take it?

Always had to be the first to give reports or turn in assignments at school. People with other last names got more time.

And then, there were those teachers whose names started with a letter near the end of the alphabet, who made a point of using reverse-alphabetical-order for dismissing class. They only used reverse-alphabetical-order for good things, not bad things. Kind of like how other social justice warriors will commit reverse discrimination in the name of getting even for perceived injustices.

You do NOT want to see my chart. Starts out with sat in scorp on the asc. In 12th, then a whole bunch more In scorp in 1st house. life has been verrrry interesting.

Good grief now I need to go reread my chart, yeah my life has been verrry interesting as well starting with being unwilling to wait to be delivered at the hospital and was born in the back of an ambulance on a military base. And life has been crazy ever since.

With a gemini moon. Damn.

My moon is in Capricorn which probably explains why my dad and I never got along except for when I was doing mechanical things like helping him fix the firing pin on a shotgun or helping him weld something together. His hands were riddled with arthritis and I'm good at very fine precision work.

Being a "tomboy" today is considered being a lesbian. Back in the day there were tomboys. Now it's just carpet munchers.

Note that I'm not referring to you, but rather how the term itself has been corrupted.
Thats why I said, I hesitate, but then I knew people here would know the term. How many terms have they ruined? . I never heard of a carpet muncher.
