Dennis,

How hard is it going to be to downsize the accumulation of decades of "stuff" into the motorhome? How will you decide what to keep and what to fling? I know it is painful. I remember when we downsized to a small house and being tearful throwing away so many memories. I even threw out my old yearbooks. I hadn't looked at them in years and figured I probably never would so why keep lugging them around. It hurt though.

Brenda, I'll have to go through everything I own and decide what I want. Things I MUST keep will be placed in storage. The rest, I'll either sell-off or leave in the hosue for the banksters to clean up. I'll keep my "memories" (pictures and other things that are special) but don't care anymore about most of the "stuff".

You'll be amazed how little you will miss "stuff". George Carlin did the funniest routine I ever saw on "stuff". I laughed so hard I cried. I think because he was 100% right on.

I have whittled my 60+ years of stuff down to one 14' Penske moving truck and then it's only filled about 5' off the floor. People wonder how I can be happy with so little stuff. The only furniture I drag with me when moving is a small upright apt. size freezer and a really nice twin size bed. I have a few more items but am discovering I never use them.

The thing I'm trying to say is you start to feel a whole new sense of freedom when you're not dragging around all this excess baggage. Inner and outer. If you need something you'll find it. I'm not talking about if you "want" something. It's the "need" that always seems to make it appear if you believe it will.

It works. You'll find that out for yourself now. That's why keeping a journal will be a whole new learning experience. Then you'll see what I'm talking about.:D
