Has No Life - Lives on TB
It's sunny and in the 80s here. I went for too long of a bike ride this morning, so I'm eating a late lunch and recovering. My behind and legs are unhappy with me, but -- wow! -- was that fun.

We have some wonderful, flat, car-restricted trails here in Iowa. This photo is similar to the trail I was on. The red bud trees aren't in full bloom yet, but they will look like the photo in about two weeks.

The photo looks like the country roads in our area. Red Bud trees are in full bloom. Beautiful.

Friend came today and reassembled pool filter. And then assembled new stairs enough that I can figured out weights.

Someone else came and did replacement MR drywall in the bathroom.

About an hour into all of this, I bent over the wrong way. The muscle/nerve that I ticked off when moving a bag of pool sand came back to life in a not good way. Thigh went numb and back started screaming. Within a half hour movement became difficult.

I ended up asking another friend to please come "survey" mark the ground for the garden beds. I won't be able to start today, and probably not tomorrow, but at least I can start.

Waking from a nap because the pain has been draining. And glad I have an easy dinner tonight.

Beautiful day today also. I've spent my day dieting. LOL. its seems that way anyway. Due to me only have a limited number of shorts (knee length) that I can get into I have got to lose some weight. I keep trying to get back on the golo diet (I'd never take their Pills) but just having a hard time on it. so I'm going back to counting calories, which has always worked for me.

I've spent a couple of hours looking up foods that are high and low in lectins. Basically, no grains and no dairy. That I have no issue with because I don't eat much in the way of that anyway. Beans have to be soaked and pressure cooked, so I have to dig out my pressure cooker, not that I eat beans on a daily basis. Reducing lectins in the food you eat helps have a healthy gut and cuts down on diseases.

If I ate the standard American diet I'd weigh another 100 pounds and be unhealthy. I know I'm old but I still want to maintain a good health.

Yesterday I looked closely at my receipt from Aldi on Wednesday. I discovered that I was charged for 4 loaves of bread although I only bought 3 loaves. On the other hand, I bought two dozen eggs and zero eggs on my receipt. Eggs were $2.09 per dozen and bread $1.85 a loaf so I came out ahead. It was a new clerk who was obviously careless.

Aldi has also had 12-can cartons of Pepsi for $6.99. Everywhere else the price is $8.99. My addiction!! One can per day is the limit I'm allowed.

I used to drink gallons of ice tea during the summer and cups of tea in the winter. Then I had kidney stones and the second attack they captured the stones and analyzed them - - NO MORE TEA FOR ME. There is actually a very long list of foods to avoid. Beer, wine and milk are acceptable. I loathe beer, wine and am allergic to milk. Murphy's Law.

Today I washed up my basket of dirty rags that had accumulated over winter and hung them outside. Just as I finished putting them on the line the wind came up and blasted them dry in short order. I do not put loads of rags in the dryer as they are too linty and stringy, so I consider them a fire hazard.

After bragging about my 1979 dryer, it isn't working properly. It still starts and dries okay but isn't shutting off. I just need to remember to set a timer so I can manually turn it off. I almost never go off or go to bed leaving the dryer going so it should be okay to continue to use it with caution.
